Al-Farouq Aminu underwent an arthroscopic procedure on his right knee on Wednesday, the Magic announced.

Aminu suffered a setback during his recovery from a right meniscus surgery back in January. The procedure "was done to address continued swelling and gives Aminu a chance to complete his final phase of rehabilitation," but he is without a timetable and completely off the fantasy radar. This sets up rookie Chuma Okeke with a huge path to minutes as a rookie.

John Wall (left knee soreness) has been ruled out vs the Spurs on Saturday, per The Athletic's Alykhan Bijani.

Wall will miss his second straight game as he battles soreness in his left knee. Eric Gordon is questionable with with lower leg pain, so Sterling Brown and Ben McLemore could see big minutes again. But Brown had 23 points, seven rebounds, three assists, two steals and three triples on Thursday which makes him the better choice of the two.

Jusuf Nurkic (right wrist fracture) out will be out for at least eight weeks after undergoing surgery, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

It's not quite the broken wrist that was originally reported, but either way, this is a tough blow for Nurkic and the Blazers as the center missed much of last season after he broke his leg in the 2018-19 season. And with Nurk out, there will be 23 minutes and a starting spot up for grabs with Enes Kanter likely to be the biggest beneficiary here. Pick him up immediately if he's still available. Kanter is already averaging a near double-double off the bench this year.

James Harden was introduced by the Nets on Friday and had some interesting comments about how his time with the Rockets concluded.

Harden on the end of the Rockets tenure: "I wasn't disrespectful to anyone. Those guys just got to Houston. I've been there a very long time. I just made a comment that the team as a whole wasn't good enough to compete for a title." He also added that, "After the loss in the bubble, I wanted to re-evaluate my situation, the team, where the organization was going....It didn't go as smooth as I would love it to go. But I think both sides are happy." The new Nets guard has passed his physical and can make his Brooklyn debut as early as Saturday against the Magic.

This is basically a non-update. Hayward was probable for Thursday before being downgraded to out, so he remains day-to-day. If the Hornets decide to be cautious again, Malik Monk made a strong case for more minutes vs. the Raptors. Caleb Martin got the fill-in start, but hit 1-of-7 shots and 3-of-4 free throws for five points, six rebounds, four assists, three steals and three turnovers in 24 minutes.

According to Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic, the Wolves are expected to re-engage the Rockets in trade talks for P.J. Tucker.

The Wolves have been "monitoring" Tucker’s situation in Houston since before the draft, and now there's a belief that he's available with James Harden no longer around. The Wolves have not been happy with Juancho Hernangomez's play, and Tucker would be a player that could come in and immediately help stabilize the Wolves on the defensive end. The 35-year-old Tucker is on an expiring deal worth roughly $8M, so there will likely be some contenders in pursuit as well.

Irving was fined $50,000 by the NBA for violating health and safety protocols when he attended a private indoor party last weekend, and he will forfeit salary for any games missed due to the five-day quarantine period according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
