The team name plays on the numbers that both Jordan and Hamlin have been aligned with in their sports careers. Jordan wore #23 throughout most of his basketball career. The XI represents 11 in Roman numerals. Hamlin has had No. 11 in his Cup career. Denny Hamlin, co-owner said in a statement about 23XI Racing: “Michael and I have a shared vision for this team, so it’s exciting to see it reflected in the team name and on the race car with the iconic number 23 that Michael made famous.” The team will make its debut in next year’s Daytona 500.

Labbe, who competed full-time for the team last season, is seeking to run the full schedule again. In its Monday release, the team stated he is currently set to run half the races and that it will pursue additional funding to put him on track for all 33 races. BRP will support Labbe’s No. 36 Chevrolet for four races through its Can-Am brand. The 27-year-old Quebecois notched five top-10 finishes last season on his way to 14th in the Xfinity standings.

The team will begin full-time series competition at the Daytona Int'l Speedway. Peters has signed a deal to drive for the single-entry NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team. Jordan Anderson Racing (JAR) announced today that the team will expand operations to race full-time in the 2021 NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) competing for Sunoco Rookie of the Year honors with owner/driver Jordan Anderson from Forest Acres, SC in the No. 31 Bommarito Automotive Group Chevrolet Camaro SS.

The team will operate under the Chevrolet banner with Richard Childress Racing acquired cars powered by ECR engines. Artie Haire will serve as crew chief for the organization after joining the team during the summer of 2020. The JAR entry will carry the No. 31 on both sides of the sleek red, white, and black Chevrolet Camaro SS. Bommarito Automotive Group will return for the sixth consecutive year as a primary marketing partner of Anderson. Details of other partners on the JAR No. 31 to be announced at a later date.

The co-owner of Live Fast Motorsports must go six months without a seizure before he can seek to drive again in North Carolina. It’s only been about 10 weeks since his last seizure — the seventh he’s had since that morning in Martinsville. Doctors diagnosed the 24-year-old with epilepsy last January, but it has taken Tifft since then to overcome his anxiety about the brain disorder and talk publicly about the diagnosis. His driving career on hold because of epilepsy, Matt Tifft became co-owner of the Live Fast Motorsports Cup team with B.J. McLeod. The team will makes its debut in the Feb. 14 Daytona 500.
