NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes is dealing with turf toe in his left foot but is not expected to need surgery after the season.

Rapsheet added that Mahomes will meet with a specialist after the season to ensure that surgery isn't needed. Mahomes will not be perfectly healthy for the Chiefs' AFC Championship game versus the Bills but even a less than 100 percent Mahomes is still capable of greatness. He did miss a few throws late in last week's game but still played well. The biggest difference will be his lack of running ability. Mahomes hit another level as a runner in the playoffs last year but this injury makes it unlikely that he'll repeat the same performances this postseason. Mahomes ceiling takes a small hit but he remains the top QB for DFS purposes this week.

A. Brown - WR

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Buccaneers want WR Antonio Brown back for the 2021 season.

Brown is out for the Bucs' NFC Championship game against the Packers so he could miss their final game of the year if Tampa Bay doesn't come out on top. Regardless, Brown has played well after missing over a year of football. He closed out the regular season with 483 yards and four scores on 45 receptions while playing in just eight games. Browns and Chris Godwin are free agents this year so it's possible that the Bucs wanting to bring Brown back is a sign that the team is willing to let Godwin walk. However, the market for Brown could be tepid given his recent history of off-field issues and he is beloved by Tom Brady so his status could also have little effect on Godwin. If Godwin does walk and Brown stays, the ADP spike for Brown would reach critical mass.

S. Watkins - WR

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Chiefs "don't sound optimistic" WR Sammy Watkins (calf, questionable) will play in the Conference Championship game against the Bills.

Watkins got in a handful of limited practices this week and the team was initially optimistic that he would be able to play against Buffalo. It's possible that his calf issue got worse over the weekend. Watkins will still test out his calf in pre-game warmups but that rarely results in a player who isn't expected to play becoming active. Mecole Hardman finished third on the Chiefs in routes last week and drew four targets plus a rush attempt. He gets the biggest bump with Watkins presumed out while Demarcus Robinson and Byron Pringle both enter the tournament conversation for DFS purposes. Both receivers saw three targets last week.

L. Bell - RB

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Chiefs RB Le'Veon Bell (knee, questionable) is not expected to play in the Conference Championship game against the Bills.

Even with Clyde Edwards-Helaire out, Bell was relegated to backup duties last week. He saw just two carries on 11 snaps and was unable to convert on any of his three targets. Darrel Williams logged 13 carries and four targets. With Bell out, there should be enough touches in the Kansas City backfield for both Williams and CEH to have fantasy-relevant roles. The split between the two will be indecipherable until kickoff but both are viable DFS plays in tournaments.

C. Edwards-Helaire - RB

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (hip, questionable) is expected to play in the Conference Championship game against the Bills.

CEH has been out since Week 15 while dealing with hip and ankle injuries. Darrel Williams has played well as the starter with him out and has notably gotten more work than Le'Veon Bell, who is not expected to play today. After logging nearly two weeks of limited practices, CEH is likely as close to healthy as he's going to get at this time of year. The split between him and Williams will be murky until kickoff but both are viable tournament options in DFS.

The 49ers will monitor the Lions' potential trade of Matthew Stafford.

It's not quite a shock that the Niners could enter the fray for Stafford's services. Jimmy Garoppolo, who has two years left on his deal and is slated to make a whopping $25.5 million next season, has been inconsistent -- and sometimes downright bad -- in four injury-riddled seasons with the Niners. With play makers like George Kittle, Brandon Aiyuk, and Deebo Samuel, Stafford could make Kyle Shanahan's offense a dangerous unit. The team could restructure Stafford's contract to reduce the cap hit if they're able to acquire him. Stafford, 32, is sure to have a handful of serious suitors in the coming weeks and months. He's due a $10 million roster bonus from the Lions on the fifth day of the 2021 league year in March.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero said the Lions and Matthew Stafford have agreed to part ways this offseason.

It appears the team won't fight to keep Stafford aboard for a full rebuild. Pelissero reports Stafford and the team made a mutual decision that the Lions would trade away their franchise QB this offseason after 12 seasons. QB-needy teams like the 49ers, Washington, Panthers, Colts, Jets, and Broncos will probably show interest in acquiring Stafford, though the Lions' price isn't known. Stafford has two years and $43 million left on his contract, "a bargain price for a quarterback who is still playing at a high level," Pelissero said. Stafford will be a marked upgrade for the pass catchers on whichever team he lands on this offseason. Detroit is (very) likely to use their No. 7 NFL draft pick to select Stafford's successor, and perhaps move up even further to secure one of the draft's top signal callers. The trade would likely happen before the fifth day of the 2021 league year in March, when Stafford is due a $10 million roster bonus.

The Eagles are considering Washington Football Team defensive backs coach Chris Harris for the team's open defensive coordinator position.

Harris, a longtime Bears safety before ending his career with the Jaguars, just finished his first year as Washington's defensive backs coach. The Football Team's secondary was a solid unit throughout the season, helped by the team's vicious defensive line. Harris has coached for the Bears and the Chargers, where he was credited with developing first-round pick Derwin James in one of the NFL's most dominant secondaries at the time. Harris would face the Football Team twice a season if he lands the Philadelphia gig.
