Bruce was removed from Tuesday's game against the Dodgers with a right oblique strain, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.
Bruce sustained the injury during a check swing and was unable to finish his at-bat. The severity of the injury remains unclear, but the fact the team is already announcing it as a strain is hardly a good sign. Roman Quinn has taken over in left field for the veteran slugger.
