This Bristol race is a bit different than the standard Bristol races for one main reason...it’s covered in dirt. The race will also be half as long as it normally is at 250 laps and there will be no competitive pit stops meaning the only way to get spots during competition cautions and stage breaks is to stay out and not get tires, but the risk there is that the drivers that stay out to get the positions don’t get to change tires or get gas and tire wear is a concern here for sure.

For more strategy behind builds check out the playbook, podcast, track breakdown, and rankings for this week’s race. Cash is a tough thing to target this week given the unpredictability of this surface and race but as usual the top line for each site is more cash safe and the second line is better for tournaments.
