Boston Celtcs (-2.5) vs Miami Heat

Game Total: 212

Miam Leads Series 2-1

Game 3 was a must win for Boston and they got back one of their major pieces in Gordon Hayward . Hayward was expected to be limited but found himself playing 31 minutes off the bench, scoring six points with five rebounds, four assists, three steals and one block. Hayward may have been just 2-for-7 from the floor but his presence is a big boost for Boston. After their Game 2 loss and reports of a shouting match between Marcus Smart and Jaylen Brown , four of the five starters for the Celtics went for 20-plus points with Tatum's 25 points leading the way. Tatum also chipped in with 14 boards and eight assists. On the Miami side, Goran Dragic struggled, shooting just 2-for-10 from the floor as well did Jae Crowder who was also just 2-for-10. Heat center Bam Adebayo continued his dominance however, scoring a game high 27 points with 16 rebounds, one assist, three steals and two blocks. Off the bench Tyler Herro played 36 minutes amd scored 22 points with three boards, four assists and one steal.

Please note players below are listed in order of preference, if a player is not listed that does not mean they are considered a full fade.

MVP/CPT

1. Marcus Smart , PG BOS - No real shock here, Smart has been my top captain pick for this entire series. His ability to fill up the stat sheet, while hitting three's is a nice add. Plus, his price point allows for you to spend up at the other spots. As an MVP/Cpt, Smart hasn't scored less than 42 FP in this series.

2. Tyler Herro , SG MIA - It's a personal preference to spend down at the MVP spot with guys that have real solid upside and that is what we get with Herro who in this series would have provided us with MVP/CPT points of 49, 45, 60 FP on DK. He plays heavy minutes off the bench and contributes across multiple categories.

3. Bam Adebayo , C MIA - It's tough for me to decide between Jayson Tatum and Bam here but I went with the Miami center because Boston just does not have an answer for him and with Hayward healthy the Celtics will play small with Tatum as the center and that's just not a match up he is going to win here against Adebayo. As a MVP/CPT in this series Bam has put up about 87, 69, 62 DK points.

Mid-Tier

1. Jaylen Brown , SG BOS - Brown doesn't command the basketball when on the floor but when he gets his shots he usually makes his shots and that's pretty important. He also plays very strong defense and has shown to be aggressive on the glass at times during the playoffs. He had a huge Game 3 following his blowout with Marcus Smart following the team's Game 2 loss. Let's see if he can carry it over into Game 4.

2. Goran Dragic , PG MIA - Dragic was finally slowed down in Game 3 as he shot just 2-for-10 from the field and largely had to deal with Marcus Smart defense. That could very well be the case in Game 4 as well but I think he is far too good of a player to just all of a sudden go cold. I expect Miami to work on countering what Boston did in Game 3 to be so effective and get Dragic some open shots early in this one.

3. Jimmy Butler , SF MIA - Butler is due for a big game and I think we will see it here tonight in Game 4 following Miami's Game 3 loss. He hasn't taken more than 14 shots in any game this series and they haven't needed him to be that go to guy just yet but if it looks like Boston is pushing towards tying the series I can see Butler taking over for the Heat and trying to will this team to a victory. He has ceiling as high as anyone in this game.

Dart Throw

1. Gordon Hayward , SF BOS - No shocker here right? Hayward is a big wild card coming into Game 4 but it was great to see him play 30 minutes in his return the other night. Hayward filled up the stat sheet and if he has shaken off some of that shooting rust then a strong night could be ahead of him. His abiltiy to pass, grab boards and play defense gives him a nice fantasy floor as well.

2. Duncan Robinson , SG MIA - The kid is straight deadly from three-point range. It's the only shot he takes and he nearly lead the NBA in three-point shooting this season. If the first few drop then Spolestra tends to leave him out there like we saw over the last two games where he has played 32 and 28 minutes.
