Top Tier

Austin Gomber, COL – I don’t know what is going on with DraftKings but they have him listed as a relief pitcher that is just $6,000 today. On FanDuel he is $9,500. Either way I consider him to be a great option for tonight’s slate as he draws the Marlins. Miami has a 28.2% strikeout rate this season against lefties which is the fifth highest mark in baseball. They also rank outside the top 20 in wOBA, OPS, SLG and average. In his last start he tossed six shutout innings against the Rangers while IN Coors Field. Let’s see if he can continue that success tonight in a more pitcher friendly venue.

Adam Wainwright, STL – I love using Waino at home. Last start out he pitched seven innings in a no-decision against the Reds. Tonight, he gets to face a Cleveland team that will not have their DH available to them which makes their lineup a bit easier to deal with. Cleveland’s offense also isn’t all that dangerous these days either as they are hitting just .226 as a team against right-handed pitching.

Gerrit Cole, NYY – Whelp, his interview last night was a train wreck as he all but admitted to using foreign substances on the ball to better grip and create spin on his pitches. With the league now very aware of what is going on and Cole, fairly or unfairly, being targeted as a primary abuser we have to wonder how that will impact him on the mound. He has a good matchup here against a strikeout prone Twins lineup. It is going to be hot in Minnesota with temperatures in the 90s. He is a GPP only play for me tonight.

Mid-Tier

Taijuan Walker, NYM – I like Walker tonight here against the O’s. Sure, Baltimore has some bats swinging it well right now, notably Cedric Mullins but on a whole their lineup is one that can be shutdown. I also am a fan of the Mets tonight as they get another crack at old friend Matt Harvey who just doesn’t have much left it seems anymore. I look for Walker to be in position to get those bonus win points tonight.

Nathan Eovaldi, BOS – Which version of Eovaldi will show up tonight? The Astros lineup has plenty of bats that can do damage but we generally like that against lefties. Eovaldi is coming off a great start against the Yankees which saw him allow just one run over six innings while striking out seven. Lets see if he can continue that momentum tonight.

Value Tier

Casey Mize, DET – The pricing difference between DK and FD strikes again. On DK tonight I think you will see a lot of Mize/Gomber stacks while you stack up for hitters. At under-$7,000 on DK we get Mize who has at least 17.9 DK point over his last five starts which includes three outings over 20 FP. He faced Seattle during that run and went for 29.7 fantasy points in that game. Sign me up for that tonight.
