Hitters |
Pos | Player | Team | Opp. Pitcher | DK Sal. |
C | Seung Taek Han | KIA | A. Sampson (R) | $3,800 |
Sampson is making his second start of the year, but won’t throw a full complement of pitches which means Han will likely get multiple at-bats against their bullpen. Han has slashed .419/.455/.806 with four home runs just over his last 10 games. He’s a nice value at a position without a lot of depth. |
C | Eui Ji Yang | NCD | G. Lee (R) | $5,800 |
Imagine paying 5.8K for a catcher in MLB DFS? Not even a thought. Considering we’re talking about last year's leading hitter in the KBO, things are a bit different. We’re talking about a guy with an OPS over 1.000 for two straight campaigns and has topped .900 in 4-of-5. He’s as elite as they come. |
1B | Jin Sung Kang | NCD | G. Lee (R) | $3,800 |
Great value for a guy giving us multi-position eligibility. Not only that, but he’s hitting .450 on the year with five bombs and 19 RBI. He wasn’t really an everyday player but injuries thrusted him into the spotlight and he hasn’t disappointed. Kang works as a one off or in a game stack. |
1B | Jae Il Oh | DOO | H. So (R) | $3,600 |
Thanks to his injury that kept him sidelined for six games we’re getting Oh at an extremely discounted price tag. He had four hits on Tuesday and is a player who’s posted an OPS of .866 or better for four straight campaigns while belting 20+ homers and driving in 80+ runs during the same span. Take advantage of the price while we can. |
1B | Ming Sang Yoo | KIA | A. Sampson (R) | $3,300 |
It’s about time KIA gave Yoo an everyday role. Yoo has dominated while given the chance, hitting .519 with a 1.218 OPS his last 10 games. He actually has nine hits in his last three games alone. Ride the hot hand while he's this cheap. |
1B/2B | Jose Fernandez | DOO | H. So (R) | $6,200 |
This game is now at 12.5 O/U implied, but started at a whopping 13. So let's gravitate towards the league's best hitter right now, shall we? He had another two hits on Tuesday, one being a homer, and now has driven in 17 runs in the span of 10 games. He’s slashing .465/.495/.707 has 14 XBH, 21 R and 27 RBI. His opponent? An 18-year old with a 7.06 ERA, 1.66 WHIP and has an 8:44 K:BB ratio across 21.2 IP. |
Pos | Player | Team | Opp. Pitcher | DK Sal. |
2B | Kyung Soo Park | KTW | Y. Lee (R) | $3,600 |
Park hasn’t had a ton of success of late, but he’s hitting .288 and has an .834 OPS this season. 2B is so bad if you don’t play Jose Fernandez and Park provides us with some solid value. Park has had five straight seasons of 10+ HR and 60+ RBI. |
2B/SS | Jin Hyuk No | NCD | G. Lee (R) | $3,400 |
It’s not a sexy play, but getting exposure to a guy in the premier lineup in the league who is batting .304 with an .843 OPS isn’t too shabby. We get multi-position eligibility at two positions (2B & SS) that are extremely weak. We also get the RH/LH advantage to boot. |
SS | Jae Ho Kim | DOO | H. So (R) | $2,400 |
Although he’s struggling a bit, Kim is hitting .342 on the year and he’s being handed to us for free. This is the fifth Doosan player I’ve suggested and if you don’t suggest a LOT of players in 13 game totals, you’re doing it wrong. It’s a no-brainer to stack this one up. |
SS/3B | Jeong Choi | SK | S. Choi (L) | $4,500 |
Choi is riding a five-game hitting streak and has caught fire. During that stretch, he has driven in nine runs, has scored six more, has 5 XBH and even has a SB to boot. We get the RH vs. LH match-up and this game has risen, in terms of O/U, all the way to 10.5. He’s gone for 10+ DK points in 5 straight. |
3B | Kyoung Min Hur | DOO | H. So (R) | $2,600 |
Having Hur at the bottom of the lineup for Doosan is like having a second leadoff hitter. I’m sure some of you just had flashbacks to your little league coach telling you that. Anywho, Hur has been great offensively hitting .311 and reaching base at a .350 clip. He's done almost all his damage vs. RHP this year hitting .321 with four XBH & 12 of his 14 RBI. He's also chipped in 3 SB, so he's a threat to run. |
OF | Kun Woo Park | DOO | H. So (R) | $3,600 |
Look, he’s simply better than what his numbers say. His .233 BABIP is going to balance out and the hits will begin to fall. They’ve actually begun to fall a little more of late as he has two straight multi-hit games and has double-digit DK points in 3-of-4. Hyeong Jun SO, KT starter, has allowed RHH to bat .404 on the year. Park should continue his upwards trend here. |
OF | Mel Rojas Jr. | KTW | Y. Lee (R) | $6,100 |
I mean, talk about being on fire. Rojas hit his third home run in his last two games on Tuesday and fifth over his last 10. Being a switch hitter he’ll always have the split advantage and this game has a 12.5 O/U. He’s as elite of a spend up as they come. |
OF | Jeong Dae Bae | KTW | Y. Lee (R) | $2,400 |
Bae is quite the value on this slate considering his .379/.415/.575 slash along with his 13 XBH and 15 RBI. He’s not an elite power hitter, but has 10 2B & 2 3B. Bae hits second in the KT order and although he’s never proven to be a viable bat, he’s still only 24. Maybe he figured it out. |
OF | Sung Bum Na | NCD | G. Lee (R) | $5,300 |
Na is an elite power-hitter, it just is what it is. He has a .275 ISO, .982 OPS and seven bombs on the year. He’s honestly just an elite hitter. He was a rookie back in 2013 and in every season since he’s hit above .300, posted an OPS north of .880 and has had 58+ XBH in each campaign he’s played at least 100 games. |
OF | Eun Sung Chae | LG | Y. Heo (L) | $3,400 |
A strong value at just 3.4K, Chae is riding an eight-game hitting streak into this one and gets a rookie making his second career start. Chae gets to face off against a LHP and he has done most of his damage to RHP, but still hits a respectable .294 vs. southpaws. |
OF | Jared Hoying | HAN | Y. Jo (R) | $4,800 |
I like the price tag for the upside we can get from Hoying. I understand he hasn’t done much at the dish but it’s been a bit unlucky considering his .280 BABIP. He’s also hit 48 combined home runs his first two seasons so the power surge is coming & it could start here. |
