Welcome to the DFS Watch List for NFL Week 8!

What a crazy week it was in Week 7 for DFS scoring, right? People were putting out lineups in cash games that rang up 180-200 points in some cash games and fell just short of getting paid. Why? Well, in part to the lineup trains we still see, but more so because all the chalk hit. Yeah, that's right...Giovani Bernard ? Hit. Jamaal Williams ? Hit. Antonio Gibson, Diontae Johnson and even Logan Thomas . When all of the bargain-bin players everyone is using to save salary hit, this is what happens. Yes, if you had both Davante Adams AND Tyler Lockett in your lineups, you cleaned up, but if you only had one or neither, it was a struggle There's nothing you can do about it. It just happens sometimes. Best course of action? Dust yourself off and maintain the process.

So what did last week's Playbook deliver? As always, we like to check in to ensure we remain on the right path.

Scoring The Playbook Week 7

Dominating three of the five positions with the highest scores of the season and a couple of bullseyes highlight the Playbook & Dart Board for week 7.Here are the highlights:

  • Quarterbacks in the Playbook averaged 30.1 points and a Value of 4.5X.  These are the highest scores of the season.
  • Wide Receivers in the Playbook averaged 30.6 points and a Value of 3.5X. These are the highest scores of the season.
  • Defenses in the Playbook averaged 13.8 points and a Value of 3.8X. These are the highest scores of the season.
  • SIX players had salaries less than $5000 and points greater than 20
  • 260.8 is the highest score possible on DraftKings with only the players in the Playbook & Dart Board.

If you built your lineups using just the Playbook and the Dart Board, this is what could have been:

Pos.PlayerPricePoints
QBJustin Herbert$6,40041.5
RBTodd Gurley $6,00022.2
RBJamaal Williams $4,00021.4
WRDavante Adams $7,90047.6
WRTyler Boyd $5,40030.7
WRDiontae Johnson$4,20029.0
TET.J. Hockenson $5,00016.9
FLEXKeenan Allen $6,20025.5
D/STKansas City Chiefs$4,30026.0

 Total:$49,400260.8

Now, obviously, hindsight is 20-20 and hitting the nuts off the Playbook and Dart Board is still tough to do given the number of possible permutations, but what it shows is that the work is being done to give ytou the best possible chances to win. And it's more than just going to the Lineup Generator, clicking Playbook & Dart Board Only and generating lineups. You have to study the match-ups, read the content and build around your favorites after the research is done. We whittle down the player pool for you, but you still need to prefect your lineup construction methods and select the right contests.

If you are one of our new subscribers, welcome! Love seeing the #FAmily grow. As just and FYI -- This piece will be continuously updated throughout the week, based on the most recent news and injuries which means you may see a name or two removed as we get closer to kick-off. You may also see a few late-week additions who pique our interest for some reason too, and by the end of the week, this Watch List will eventually become your Playbook. Again, it’s about teaching you the process.

With that all being said, it's time to check in and see which players we are looking at for DFS this week.

Just a heads-up as we move closer to the weekend. Thee is a lot of bad weather expected and it is going to dramatically affect the final Playbook. A number of the quarterbacks listed below are all now going to be contending with Mother Nature and that could spell trouble. I'll leave them up for the analysis, but don't be surprised by some unusual left turns made between Friday and Saturday.

As of Friday, 12:30pm ET, the forecast shows:

Las Vegas at Cleveland -- Chance for showers and 25mph sustained winds; gusts around 40mph.

Minnesota at Green Bay -- Winds around 25mph sustained and gusts close to 40mph. Temperatures in the 30s with a feels-like temp in the 20s.

New Orleans at Chicago -- 25mph sustained winds, gusts around 40mph

New England at Buffalo -- Windy (20mph sustained), wet (scattered showers), and chilly (temps in the 40s).

Tennessee at Cincinnati -- Winds should be around (and likely a bit over) 15mph sustained with gusts 25mph.

PLAYERS ADDED (10/30):

PLAYERS REMOVED (10/30):
