Ayo DosunmuILNW950042.31820039.10
By now, you know about Ayo Dosunmu. He’s one of the most dynamic scorers in the country and plays for one of the best teams - and is always in play for DFS lineups because of his elite-level production across the board. The increased price tag on DK makes fitting him in a little tougher, but he’s at a great price point on FD. This matchup with Penn State will be the highest-scoring and fastest-paced on the slate - so locking in the best player from both sides is always a good strategy. Dosunmu can easily anchor your lineup with 40 DK points or more in what should be a competitive, back-and-forth game.
Charlie MooreDPUWIU83000
DePaul finally begins its season tonight after plenty of COVID cancellations and postponements for the last month. The Blue Demons’ best player is Charlie Moore, who should be involved on almost every offensive possession tonight while running the point. Last year, Moore led the team in usage rate, assists and shot volume - and that was with future NBA-er Paul Reed still there. This season, Moore will take on a lot more offensive responsibility with Reed gone - and especially tonight with both Jaylen Butz and Romeo Weems possibly sitting out. DePaul brought in transfer Javon Freeman-Liberty ($7700 DK) to shoulder some of that load, but he’s too expensive until we know how he fits in next to Moore. We have a proven track record with Moore and he’s great for cash or GPP on DK with a price tag that might even be too cheap.
David DukePROVBUTLE790033.11740030.34
Most of Providence’s offensive production is funneled through two players - combo guard David Duke and big man Nate Watson. As for Duke, he leads the team in usage rate and shot volume and has been a DFS stud recently. He has at least 34 DK points in four straight games with plenty of production across all stat categories - including a double-double last time out vs. Seton Hall and 28 points with seven assists vs. TCU the game before. Duke will be leaned on heavily in this Big East matchup with Butler and we should expect another 35 or more DK points from him with upside for more because of his 46% three-point shooting against a team that doesn’t defend three’s well. He’s a strong cash or GPP play and will probably go lower-owned than Dosunmu or Gillespie.
Collin GillespieVUMARQ780028660026.23
Villanova’s top ball-handler and offensive catalyst gets a slight price decrease on this slate because of his dud outing last time out. Although his 16 DK points vs. Saint Joseph’s last game doesn’t look good in the game logs, we should expect a full bounceback effort tonight in a much more competitive matchup vs. Marquette. Gillespie’s pricing has been fluctuating all season based on good or bad DFS performances - and this is a clear buy-low opportunity with 30 DK points likely incoming at an affordable level. He’s fantastic for cash if you want to save a little at the top end of guards.

Andre CurbeloILPSU540020.84580020.38
We should try to get multiple pieces of this Illinois-Penn State matchup with it being the highest-scoring on the slate with two uptempo teams facing off. After Dosunmu for the Illini, it’s Curbelo who continues to be the best per-dollar option right now. Despite coming off the bench, Curbelo basically acts as a sixth-man super sub who plays starter-level minutes at times. He’s emerged as Illinois’ second ball-handling playmaker - which in turn allows Dosunmu to play off the ball and impact the game in other ways instead of playing point every possession. This matchup vs. PSU could easily turn into a guard-dominant game with Curbelo playing a huge role in Illinois’ offense. We can reasonably expect him to return to his 30 DK point production like he did in back-to-back games last week.
Jamari WheelerPSUIL510021660020.70
So if we like this game so much, how about we look towards the Penn State side of things? Unfortunately, though, the Nittany Lions are tough to predict and fully trust from a DFS standpoint with seven players splitting the production pretty evenly. All of Izaiah Brockington, Myreon Jones, Seth Lundy, Samuel Sessoms and Jamari Wheeler are in play for cash or GPP - but it depends which site and format you are playing to determine which to play. On DK, Wheeler is the best cash option with a decent DFS floor despite not being a high-volume scorer at all. Case in point: he put up 15 DK points last game despite not scoring a single point. There’s upside there and this is probably the cheapest we see him at all year.
Myles TateBUTLEPROV440013.31400011.98
The Aaron Thompson situation for Butler is one to monitor tonight. The Bulldogs’ lead point guard has been out the last two games and he could possibly sit for a third straight with his knee sprain. Considering he didn’t play or even warm up on Monday, we should expect him to be out again tonight. In his absence, Myles Tate has moved back into the starting lineup and that increase in playing time and role has given him a much better DFS floor for cash. The freshman has 20 and 23 DK points in the last two games, respectively, while logging 35+ minutes in both. Butler’s starters play heavy minutes and that’s good news for Tate if he’s starting again with Thompson out.

Other Guards to Consider:

  • Jair Bolden - Butler ($7,400 DK / $5,500 FD)
  • Caleb Daniels - Villanova ($6,000 DK / $5,100 FD)
  • Samuel Sessoms - Penn State ($5,700 DK / $6,300 FD)
  • Izaiah Brockington - Penn State ($6,600 DK / $5,900 FD)
  • Koby McEwen - Marquette ($6,200 DK / $6,600 FD)
  • Aljami Durham - Indiana ($5,500 DK / $4,900 FD)
  • Trent Frazier - Illinois ($4,700 DK / $4,900 FD)

Trayce Jackson-DavisIUNW900038.29800036.21
If you’re not playing Ayo Dosunmu, then it’s Jackson-Davis as the best pay-up option in cash or GPP. He’s heavily involved on the offensive end for Indiana and his DFS floor and ceiling are always high because of that high usage and shot volume. We’ve seen 50 DK point upside from him in the right game scripts - and one of those could come tonight against a faster-paced Northwestern team that struggles on the offensive boards. Jackson-Davis, meanwhile, is an elite rebounder and shot-blocker and should easily eat in this matchup to anchor your lineups.
Jeremiah Robinson-EarlVUMARQ810031.59640029.65
First of all, you should lock in Robinson-Earl for cash games on FD if you’re playing on that site because he’s way too cheap. He’s even a great cash or GPP play on DK with a price tag that’s still probably a bit low considering how good he can be in any given game. Against Saint Joseph’s last game, we saw Robinson-Earl dominate in all phases with his 25 points scored, seven boards and six assists. The assists are a bonus, but Nova’s big man has double-double potential every game and could easily get there against Marquette.
Kofi CockburnILPSU800031.75730029.26
Cockburn is the epitome of a high-risk, high-reward GPP play at these elevated price tags on both sites. The risk is that Illinois’ big man gets into foul trouble and/or is phased out of the game with opposing teams going with smaller lineups. We saw that happen with Cockburn against Baylor to the worst degree - and there’s danger every game where he’s not on the court as often as we’d like. When he’s at his best, though, Cockburn is almost unstoppable in the paint and can be a handful for any team in the country. He’s coming off back-to-back double-doubles and the ceiling is always there for him to take over games with his size and dominant presence. He’s the ideal tournament play tonight.

Bryce GoldenBUTLEPROV500021530020.00
Why isn’t Golden more expensive now? This honestly might be the cheapest we see him at for the rest of the season once the sites realize how productive he’ll be every game for Butler. After missing one game, Golden was back in the starting lineup for the last two outings - and he played 30+ minutes in both with 21 and 30 DK points, respectively. He will continue to see heavy playing time on a Butler team without much bench depth - especially at center where Golden basically has a monopoly on playing time. He’s just too cheap for how good he’s been the last two games and for the DFS floor - lock him into cash lineups.
Greg GanttPROVBUTLE480016.79450015.80
Gantt began the year starting for Providence but has since moved to the bench the last two games. However, he’s still put up 18+ DK points with 30 or more minutes played in both those outings despite not starting. Maybe his reserve role is better suited for him to be more productive for the team - and it has resulted in back-to-back wins for the Friars. If Gantt continues to play 30 minutes with solid production in all stat categories - whether he’s starting or not - he’s a solid value at sub-5k on both sites.
Nick OngendaDPUWIU40000
We may have to wait and see on DePaul’s starting lineup for this one, but some value could open up for the late-hammer on DK tonight. Both Jaylen Butz and Romeo Weems were reportedly away from the team earlier this season and would not have played if DePaul didn’t have every game cancelled. We may get some news on both players’ statuses before tipoff but we may have to see what the lineup looks like. Both are solid plays if they play, but Ongenda and Darious Hall would be instant values if not. Last year, Ongenda backed up Paul Reed at center with his 6-foot-11 frame as a freshman. He’s expected to take a step forward this season in a bigger role - and that would come right away if Butz is out. The price is simply way too cheap for Ongenda or Hall if one of them starts and Butz/Weems are out.

Other Forwards to Consider:

  • Nate Watson - Providence ($7,600 DK / $6,500 FD)
  • Bryce Nze - Butler ($6,800 DK / $5,000 FD)
  • Seth Lundy - Penn State ($5,900 DK / $6,500 FD)
  • Justin Lewis - Marquette ($5,200 DK / $5,300 FD)
  • John Harrar - Penn State ($4,600 DK / $4,400 FD)
