Welcome back to another mid-week CBB DFS slate! Tonight, we have nine games on DraftKings to break down with FanDuel’s slate including six of those matchups.

Per usual with these larger slates, the price variance between the best players on each team is very small compared to the 4-game tilts we’ve seen in the past. For example, the most expensive player on DK is $9,100 - and you can realistically make a lineup without that player and still cash tonight.

As you’ll see below, there are some teams and players we want to target based on injuries, scoring trends, usage increases or decreases and salary savings.

Games to Target

Auburn @ North Carolina State - 7 pm ET (DK & FD)

UCLA @ Cincinnati - 9 pm ET (DK & FD)

Guards

Sincere Carry - DUQ ($7,800 DK / $7,400 FD) - Carry is one of those players who does just enough in every stat category to provide a solid floor of 20 fantasy points with a realistic ceiling of 35-40. He’s dished out seven or more assists six times and has at least three steals in each of the past four outings. Over the last few games with Michael Hughes out for Duquesne, Carry’s usage has skyrocketed, and he put up back-to-back 34-point fantasy performances over the last two. Hughes should play tonight but he will be limited, so don’t worry about Carry’s value going down too much.

Jarron Cumberland - CIN ($7,300 DK / $7,100 FD) - Cumberland has been on fire the last two games, playing 37 minutes and shooting at least 15 times in each. He’s also hitting 43% of his three-pointers on the year. In a game vs. UCLA’s poor defense, expect Cumberland to put up enough shots to return value at this affordable price.

Jose Alvarado - GT ($6,500 DK / $7,400 FD) - Outside of two games this season, Alvarado has been very consistent fantasy-wise. On DK, the Georgia Tech guard has scored 25 fantasy points in seven of nine games this year and has upside for 35 if he’s distributing the ball and providing 4-6 assists. A case can be made to play Alvarado in cash, but he’s a better tournament play for sure.

Rasir Bolton - PSU ($6,000 DK / $6,600 FD) - Bolton has been on a tear of late, scoring 69 total points over his past three games - including 27 and 25 in the last two, respectively. He’s consistently getting 13 or more shot attempts during this stretch and should see the shot volume yet again tonight. Bolton is more of a tournament play, though, because his fantasy points are very much reliant on how many real points he scores.

Cartier Diarra - KSU ($3,900 DK Only) - Wildcats’ starting guard Kamau Stokes sprained his ankle on Saturday, which could open up larger minutes for Diarra. Although Stokes is still expected to give it a go tonight, it’s Diarra who would benefit the most if his teammate is limited at all. Even with Stokes in the lineup, Diarra has been getting increased playing time lately - logging 35 and 28 minutes in each of the last two games. With KSU projected to win by 14 over Southern Miss, Stokes could sit more to rest his ankle - pushing Diarra into a strong value play.

Other Notable Guards

Jalen Harris - ARK ($7,100 DK / $7,200 FD)

Markell Johnson - NCST ($6,600 DK / $6,300 FD)

Brandon Randolph - AZ ($6,400 DK Only)

Kyle Guy - UVA ($6,200 DK / $6,200 FD)

Braxton Beverly - NCST ($4,700 DK / $5,000 FD)

Forwards

Xavier Sneed - KSU ($6,700 DK Only) - With Kansas State stud Dean Wade out for the next 3-8 weeks, Sneed should benefit the most from his absence. Sneed will be getting the majority of Wade’s touches in the paint with a ton more opportunities for rebounds, giving him legit double-double upside as KSU leans on him to anchor the post in Wade’s absence. There is a little risk here, though, with tonight being the first game without Wade and the rotation a little unknown.

Chase Jeter - AZ ($6,300 DK Only) - Jeter is priced slightly down after a dud fantasy performance last game out, but he has potential to 5x his salary in a favorable matchup. Montana is one of the worst rebounding teams in the country and Jeter is averaging 7.3 boards per game this season with at least nine rebounds in three of the last five.

Ryan Fazekas - VALP ($5,900 DK Only) - Fazekas is coming off one of his worst shooting performances - going 1-for-9 from deep on Monday - but it’s his 3-point shooting we still like here. He’s drained 41% of his three’s this season and is taking around five per game - including 11 and nine in the last two, respectively. Also, don’t expect the Providence transfer to shy away from the tough competition on the road in Texas A&M. He’s been there, done that.

Keyshawn Bryant - SCAR ($4,700 DK / $4,800 FD) - Usually we try to avoid any team facing Virginia’s vaunted defense, but Bryant is hard to ignore as a potential value at forward tonight. As good as UVA is defensively, opposing “bigs” tend to dominate in the post as the Wahoos don’t have any dominant forwards and run a lot of guard-heavy lineups as they focus on shutting down outside scoring while leaving the paint vulnerable. South Carolina has three forwards who could 5x their salaries tonight, but Bryant has the biggest upside as he got the start, played 31 minutes and put up 25 fantasy points against a tough opponent last game in Michigan.
Other Notable Forwards

Daniel Gafford - ARK ($9,100 DK / $8,500 FD)

Tre Scott - CIN ($6,100 DK / $6,400 FD)

Reggie Perry - MSU ($4,800 DK / $5,100 FD)
