What’s up FANation? For Saturday's slate, we have nine games. As always, this article isn’t for plays ONLY under 5K, but players that are undervalued at their specific price on DraftKings and FanDuel. The Dallas Mavericks will be without Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis and face the Hawks, one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA. Several Mavericks will be value and cheap, so pay attention to the starting lineup.
DRAFTKINGS
Dennis Smith Jr., PG NYK — $3,100
Elfrid Payton is suspended for the game against the Pacers and Frank Ntilikina has been ruled out. Smith is in line for a big uptick in minutes. He played 13 minutes in the last game against the Grizzlies and had eight points, two rebounds, four assists and two steals for 19 DK points. He's a way to save a lot of money and he should return a ton of value if he gets 25-30 minutes.
Maxi Kleber, PF/C DAL — $3,800
Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis are out today against the Hawks. There's a good chance Kleber replaces Porzingis in the starting lineup. He played 14 minutes last night and had 21 DK points. He is averaging almost a fantasy point per minutes and 25-28 minutes is possible against a bad Hawks' defense that has allowed the third most fantasy points to power forwards.
Marquess Chriss, PF/C GS — $4,700
Chriss has been playing more recently with 21, 31 and 23 minutes. All were tough matchups against the Pacers, 76ers and Celtics. It gets easier tonight against the Cavaliers. In those games, he averaged 12 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists and one steal per game. The Cavaliers are one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA and Chriss could go off. He is averaging 1.24 DK points per minute this season.
FANDUEL
Taurean Prince, SF BKN — $5,400
Prince gets one of the best matchups against the Wizards. The game total is 241 and Prince has played at least 28 minutes in three straight games. He had a favorable matchup against the Pistons on Wednesday and had 22 points, seven rebounds and four steals for 43.9 FD points. Last night, with Kyrie Irving scoring 54 points, Prince had 16 points, eight rebounds and three assists for 28.1 FD points.
Marcus Smart, SG BOS— $5,800
Smart will benefit with Kemba Walker being ruled out. While it's a tough matchup against the 76ers, Smart can still come through, especially with his ability to get steals. Smart has at least 34.6 FD points in the last two games and that was with Walker on the floor.
Dorian Finney-Smith, SF DAL — $4,500
Dallas will have a lot of shots to go around with Doncic and Porzingis out. Finney-Smith will play a lot of minutes and while he's not great for fantasy, he's cheap and will play big minutes. He played 34 minutes last night and had 12 points, eight rebounds, three assists and one block for 28.1 FD points. He can exceed that in a great matchup against the Hawks.
