S. Santini - D
Santini took a puck to the face during the first period of Saturday's game against the Flyers and is questionable to return, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports.
This was a rude way for Santini to get welcomed into the 2018-19 season. He was inserted into the lineup in place of Ben Lovejoy (lower body) who's been dealing with an injury of his own. At the time of this writing, Santini's been limited to 2:33 of ice time with six minutes remaining in the second period and the score knotted up, 1-1.

L. Ullmark - G
Ullmark will guard the cage in Saturday's road matchup with the Kings, Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News reports.
Ullmark was razor sharp in his season debut last Saturday against Arizona, turning aside 36 shots en route to an impressive 3-0 shutout victory. The 25-year-old netminder will look to stay dialed in and pick up his second victory of the campaign in a road matchup with a Kings club that's only averaging 2.00 goals per game this campaign, 28th in the NHL.

N. Beaulieu - D
Beaulieu (undisclosed) won't play Saturday against the Kings, Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News reports.
Beaulieu is considered day-to-day, so his injury probably isn't overly serious, but it may end up costing him a pair of games, as the Sabres will be right back at it Sunday night against the Ducks. The 25-year-old blueliner has only totaled 10 points in 66 appearances over the last two seasons, so his absence shouldn't impact many fantasy lineups.

P. Rinne - G
Rinne (undisclosed) will be placed on injured reserve, Thomas Willis of the Predators' official site reports.
The exact nature of Rinne's injury is still being determined after the reigning Vezina Trophy winner was pulled early in the third period of Friday's road game against the Flames. However, it's not a good sign that the Predators are processing this IR transaction so quickly, as it suggests that he could be dealing with a significant issue. Juuse Saros will tend twine against the Oilers on Saturday after defeating Calgary in relief. Meanwhile, Miroslav Svoboda gets the promotion from AHL Milwaukee.

R. Getzlaf - F
Getzlaf (groin) is expected to return to the lineup against the Golden Knights on Saturday, Elliott Teaford of the Orange County Register reports.
The Ducks captain reportedly practiced Friday, forming a line with rookie Isac Lundestrom and Rickard Rakell. While this bodes well for his chances of suiting up against Vegas, it'll be worth checking back during pregame warmups to see if Getzlaf is a safe activation after missing the last five games.

D. Caggiula - F
Caggiula (lower body) won't play Saturday against the Predators, but could be ready to return sometime next week, Jack Michaels of the Oilers Radio Network reports.
Caggiula will miss a second consecutive game Saturday, but it sounds like he could be back in action as soon as Tuesday against the Penguins. Zack Kassian will continue to skate in a bottom-six role until Caggiula's ready to return.

T. Rattie - F
Rattie will be sidelined for at least a "couple weeks" due to a mid-body muscle injury, Jack Michaels of the Oilers Radio Network reports.
Rattie has been skating on the Oilers' top line with Connor McDavid this season, so his absence will present Jesse Puljujarvi or Kailer Yamamoto with a prime opportunity to prove they're ready for an expanded role. The 25-year-old Rattie will almost certainly be placed on injured reserve until he's ready to return.

J. Saros - G
Saros will patrol the blue paint as Saturday's road starter facing the Oilers, Jack Michaels of the Oilers Radio Network reports.
Saros picked up a relief win against the Flames on Friday, as he stepped in for the injured Pekka Rinne (undisclosed) during the third period and denied each of the nine shots that came his way. The Finn should be a popular streaming option in DFS contests since he plays for the 2018 Presidents' Trophy winners and started the season 3-0-0 with a 2.22 GAA and .917 save percentage. Saros' challenger ranks 24th in offense despite the presence of Connor McDavid, who has absurdly averaged more than two points per game through the first five.
