Kuokkanen has some offensive upside but has been buried as a bottom-six forward through the first four games of the NHL season as he has been held pointless. Kuokkanen moved to the wing with Miles Wood and Travis Zajac. "It gives him an opportunity to provide more offense to the top end," Ruff said of Kuokkanen. "Gives him a better look." While we cannot recommend Kuokkanen at this time, he may have some fantasy value shortly.

Kinkaid will be promoted to the Rangers regular roster from the taxi squad in time for the start of Saturday's game against the Devils as Igor Shesterkin is out of action with a mild groin strain. If Shesterkin is required to miss a significant amount of time, then look for Kinkaid to get some playing action as the Rangers play nine games in the next 15 days.

McDonagh has six points in 22 games with a plus-six rating. He scored on a rebound from an Alex Killorn shot that gave the Lightning a 3-2 lead but they were unable to hold on. McDonagh is a fine defenseman with more value on the ice than in a fantasy pool.

Fired goaltending coach Stephane Waite said Friday that the Canadiens thought that Carey Price would struggle at the beginning of the season.

“We expected that in January and February it’s gonna be tough for him to get his rhythm, his timing, his feel for the puck, seeing the puck well like he used to because Carey is not used to playing every two games,” Waite told TSN 690’s Mitch Melnick Friday. “Every good No. 1 goalie is the league needs to play a lot to have the timing. We thought he might have some problems, but he would benefit in March and April when the plan was for Carey to play two games out of three...We were very disorganized (in our own zone) and Carey wanted to do too much, cheat a little bit and once a goalie starts to not trust the defensive system, that’s when he starts to guess. Then there’s bad goals and he starts to lose his confidence and it becomes a snowball. That’s why the last four days before I was fired, we sat down and settled things down, said ‘OK, relax, come back to the basics.’ You could see he was too busy as a goaltender (and we said) just kept it simple, let the game come to you." It looks like it may be a good time to try and get Price in your fantasy pool.

Hall inked a one-year deal worth $8 million in the off-season and has not played well thus far with only two goals and 13 points in 21 games. "Yeah, I'm open to anything," Hall said. "It's not like I've had an amazing statistical year by any means so far this year. Just in saying that, I think I've enjoyed my time here. I really like the guys, the coaching staff, the way we're treated as players, and like we said from the start, my agent and myself, we're open to anything...I was never treating this as a one-year thing. I was always coming into it open-minded and we'll have to see what happens here, if there's interest on their side. But yeah, of course I have interest."

“What I noticed about this team when I got here was that the boys are playing for each other night-in, night-out,” Tinordi said. “I’m not surprised to see the boys respond in a big way after one of our guys goes down like that...You can’t have guys taking liberties with our players out there. That’s the way I’ve always played. That’s the way a lot of guys on the team play. You’ve got to recognize that. It was also a little bit of a cheap shot. A guy goes down and we responded in a big way. Put the fight aside, I think the boys came out in a big way.” That ought to endear Tinordi to his new Boston teammates after he was claimed on waivers from Nashville last week.

Brandon Carlo (upper body) was taken to hospital via ambulance after taking a hit to the head from Washington's Tom Wilson.

The Bruins were not too happy with Wilson who did not receive a penalty for the incident but could be in trouble with the NHL's Department of Player Safety. “Predatory hit from someone that’s done that before,” coach Bruce Cassidy said. “I do not understand why there wasn’t a penalty called on the ice. They huddled up, but I did not get an explanation why. It was out of our hands after that. We’ve just got to play hockey. Try to stick together as a team, play the right way...That’s how I thought of the whole situation. I assume it’ll get looked at by the National Hockey League and they’ll make their decision.” It looks as if Carlo may have suffered a concussion. Consider him at least day-to-day and probably a lot longer than that.

Dansk allowed a total of four goals on 29 shots and finished the night with a .862 save percentage. Dansk was given the nod today in order to give Fleury some rest. In his first appearance of the year, Dansk managed to put up some decent numbers. However, Dansk must level up his game if he ever wishes to compete with someone like Marc-Andre Fleury for more ice time.

Pacioretty posted two goals and one assist during this matchup and had himself an impressive night. Pacioretty also extends his point streak to three games. His goals included the overtime game-winner that sealed a victory for the Golden Knights. After this stellar performance, Pacioretty now has 12 goals and 8 assists for a total of 20 points. He currently leads the Vegas roster in terms of goals and is in the second spot in the points category.

Dubnyk made his appearance after just over a period of play. He came in relief for Martin Jones, who allowed three goals on just eight shots. During his time on ice, Dubnyk made 17 saves on 19 shots and posted a save percentage of .895. This win brings his record to 1-4-2. Dubnyk's individual performance as of late could be improved, as his team needs a strong goaltender since they are often the underdogs on the offensive front.

Karlsson picked up two assists during this game. His first assist came on a goal scored by Matt Nieto at the 12:43 mark of the second. Karlsson's was the sole assist on the play. Later in the third, Karlsson picked up another primary assist on a goal scored by Logan Couture. Struggling is an understatement for what Karlsson has been going through this season. After this game he has six assists and one goal for a total of seven points in 17 games played. Karlsson has clearly displayed how elite of a player he can be in the past and he will need to really buckle down to try to get back to the level of play he used to be at.
