Travis Schlenk said he's hopeful he'll be able to sign John Collins to a contract extension this offseason.

Collins said back in September that he wanted to sign an extension, so there is some mutual interest here, and those talks are reportedly ongoing. He was an absolute stud in his 2019-20 campaign, but Collins is going to have some increased competition for both minutes and touches with the additions of Danilo Gallinari, Bogdan Bogdanovic and Clint Capela, so we're somewhat nervous about him being able to replicate his first-round success from last year this upcoming season.

Ojeyele could play a decent amount on Friday and maybe even start as Jayson Tatum (COVID) remains sidelined. He's averaged 23 minutes over the last four games and scored in double-figures in two of them. Consider him a low-end streamer in deep leagues if you're feeling lucky.

Gordon was upgraded to questionable after missing Thursday's game, and the shorthanded Rockets could surely use his offense with John Wall (knee) already ruled out. Cousins could miss Saturday's game against the Spurs as he's dealing with a sore right ankle. Fantasy managers won't be missing much from Boogie, however, as he only had nine points and four rebounds vs the Spurs on Thursday. All eight of his field goal attempts in that game from beyond the arc, too. Christian Wood and P.J. Tucker should play a bit more if Cousins sits.

John Wall (left knee soreness) has been ruled out vs the Spurs on Saturday, per The Athletic's Alykhan Bijani.

Wall will miss his second straight game as he battles soreness in his left knee. Eric Gordon is questionable with with lower leg pain, so Sterling Brown and Ben McLemore could see big minutes again. But Brown had 23 points, seven rebounds, three assists, two steals and three triples on Thursday which makes him the better choice of the two.

Jusuf Nurkic (right wrist fracture) out will be out for at least eight weeks after undergoing surgery, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

It's not quite the broken wrist that was originally reported, but either way, this is a tough blow for Nurkic and the Blazers as the center missed much of last season after he broke his leg in the 2018-19 season. And with Nurk out, there will be 23 minutes and a starting spot up for grabs with Enes Kanter likely to be the biggest beneficiary here. Pick him up immediately if he's still available. Kanter is already averaging a near double-double off the bench this year.

James Harden was introduced by the Nets on Friday and had some interesting comments about how his time with the Rockets concluded.

Harden on the end of the Rockets tenure: "I wasn't disrespectful to anyone. Those guys just got to Houston. I've been there a very long time. I just made a comment that the team as a whole wasn't good enough to compete for a title." He also added that, "After the loss in the bubble, I wanted to re-evaluate my situation, the team, where the organization was going....It didn't go as smooth as I would love it to go. But I think both sides are happy." The new Nets guard has passed his physical and can make his Brooklyn debut as early as Saturday against the Magic.

This is basically a non-update. Hayward was probable for Thursday before being downgraded to out, so he remains day-to-day.
