Conners dropped 15 spots on the leaderboard and finished in a tie for 16th at the Valspar Championship, after shooting a six-over 77 on Sunday.
Entering the final round, Conners actually led Tiger Woods, Justin Rose, and Brandt Snedeker by one stroke -- unfortunately, nerves got the best of him, and Conners wasn't even able to record a birdie on championship Sunday. The positive for the Canadian, is this was his first top-25 finish of 2017-18, and certainly an experience he can build off in the future. Conners' driver is what really gave him an early advantage over the field, as he ranked sixth in SG: Off-the-tee and tied for the seventh most fairways hit, while finishing 27th for SG: Approach-to-the-tee as well. The only area the 26-year-old struggled with was by the green, as he lost a stroke to the field with his short game. Conners will take this week off and not compete in the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
