Marc-Andre Fleury doesn't know what is going to happen this off-season, but he hopes to stay with the Vegas Golden Knights.
"I want to stay in Vegas," said Fleury on Wednesday. "I don’t know what the future holds, but I’ve loved every moment since I got here. This team means a lot to me, and the city has been so good to me. The fans, and (owner Bill Foley) have been so awesome. It’s a great team, and I thought when I came here that maybe I could retire here. I wanted to end my career here." He emphasized that he is not seeking a trade despite some uncertainty. Fleury’s future with the Golden Knights has been up in the air since the team traded for Robin Lehner. Lehner will reportedly be re-signed by the team and it's unclear where that would leave Fleury, who has a $7 million cap hit for the next two years and a 10-team no-trade list. Fleury made it clear that if Lehner is re-signed then he still wants to stay on the team, but Vegas will probably be looking to move some salary and trading Fleury makes a great deal of sense.
