C. Crawford - G
Corey Crawford allowed six goals on 35 shots in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Edmonton Oilers.
Crawford battled throughout the night, but he was no match for Oilers captain Connor McDavid, who beat him three times tonight. The veteran netminder looked particularly bad on Edmonton's insurance marker in the third period, as he lost the puck behind the net seconds before James Neal scored to give the Oilers a 5-3 lead. Crawford has a 1-1 record with a 5.00 goals-against-average and a .844 save percentage in this Qualifying Round.

M. Koskinen - G
Mikko Koskinen turned aside 23 of 26 shots in Monday's 6-3 win over the Chicago Blackhawks.
Koskinen didn't get the start in Game 1, as the Oilers decided to go with Mike Smith but the Finnish netminder made the most of his opportunity in Game 2. Monday's game wasn't perfect for him, but he made enough saves to give the Oilers the win. Edmonton got into some penalty trouble in the second frame and Koskinen helped get them out of it (his teammates blocked their share of shots too tonight). Now that they're on the board in this series, the Oilers will go back to Koskinen in Game 3. This series is tied, 1-1.

P. Kane - F
Patrick Kane picked up a goal and an assist in Monday's 6-3 loss to the Edmonton Oilers.
The Blackhawks were down 2-0 in the first period, but Kane managed to cut his team's deficit in half at the 9:06 mark of the frame. Kane also registered an assist on Olli Maatta's game-tying goal (3-3) in the second period. The Blackhawks gave the Oilers a scare in Game 2, but they ultimately fell apart over the last 23 minutes. Kane has three points in the first two games of this series, which is tied 1-1.

C. McDavid - F
Connor McDavid scored a hat trick in Monday's 6-3 win over the Chicago Blackhawks.
McDavid dragged his team to victory in Game 2 of their Qualifying Round series. His second goal, which came just 4:05 into the first period, was incredible. On that play, he managed to use his speed to get around Olli Maatta and he buried an incredible backhander by Corey Crawford. McDavid finished the night with a plus-1 rating, three shots on goal and one hit in 18:23 of ice time. The Oilers captain is already up to four goals and three assists in just two games in this series. This best-of-five series is all tied up after two games.

C. Price - G
Carey Price turned aside 35 of 37 shots in Monday's 3-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The only reason the Canadiens were in this game was because Price kept them in it. He made huge save after save throughout the night. The Penguins power play had five opportunities in this game and they failed to capitalize on each one mainly because Price was unbelievable. If the Habs are going to upset the Pens, they'll need their goalie to continue playing this way. This best-of-five series is now tied, 1-1. Game 3 will be played on Wednesday.

M. Murray - G
Matt Murray turned aside 27 of 28 shots in Monday's 3-1 win over the Montreal Canadiens.
Murray wasn't overly busy in the first two periods, but he still managed to come up with some important saves when his team was ahead 1-0. Canadiens forward Jesperi Kotkaniemi beat Murray with just over two minutes remaining to cut the Pens' lead to 2-1 at the time. Tonight's victory allowed Murray and the Penguins to tie this best-of-five series, 1-1. Game 3 will be played on Wednesday night.

J. Kotkaniemi - F
Jesperi Kotkaniemi scored a goal in Monday's 3-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 2 of their Qualifying Round series.
The Canadiens were clearly the second-best team on the ice over the first 40 minutes of the game, but they managed to stay in it thanks to goalie Carey Price. Kotkaniemi got the Habs on the board with 2:10 remaining in the game. That goal cut the Penguins' lead to 2-1 at the time. The sophomore forward has now scored in his first two playoff games. He had six goals in 36 regular season games this year, so this offensive output is encouraging.

J. Guentzel - LW
Jake Guentzel scored a goal and an assist in Monday's 3-1 Game 2 win over the Montreal Canadiens.
Guentzel slipped a perfect pass over to Sidney Crosby for the first goal of the game in the opening frame. He also added an empty-netter with just over 10 seconds remaining in regulation. Guentzel finished the night with a plus-2 rating, two shots on goal and one hit in 20:47 of ice time. The Penguins' top players clearly outplayed their Montreal opponents tonight, but Canadiens goalie Carey Price kept his team in the game. This best-of-five series is now tied, 1-1.
