Charlie McAvoy will take over quarterbacking the first power play should Matt Grzelcyk need time off due to his injury.
Grzelcyk left the game Monday with 5:43 to go in the third when he and Jordan Eberle got tangled up along the boards. Grzelcyk left the contest and did not return. McAvoy was thought to be the one to quarterback the power play when Torey Krug left in the off-season as a UFA but Grzelcyk beat him out in training camp. Now, McAvoy will get his chance if Grzelcyk is out for any length of time. Stay tuned. Yesterday 6:50 am (EST)
