Braden Holtby allowed four goals on 38 shots in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Winnipeg Jets.
The Canucks had a terrible performance so Holtby won't shoulder the full weight of the loss but he allowed some backbreaking goals. Two of the goals he allowed came off poor rebound control but Mathieu Perrault's goal at the 19:57 mark of the first period was a perfect metaphor for how the Canucks season has gone. Vancouver's defense left Holtby completely out to dry on his goal when every Canucks player on the ice refused to pick up the loose puck which allowed Perrault to streak in and beat the goaltender with a backhand.
