Anthony Cirelli has been using his unexpected influx of free time to work on his cooking.
The NHL has been paused since March 12 due to the coronavirus. Cirelli is of course working out in an effort to be as ready for the resumption of the play as he can be, but beyond that he's also spent quite a bit of time in the kitchen. The 22-year-old has learned how to make a good chicken parmesan, but his chicken teriyaki is a work-in-progress. "It didn't turn out the way I wanted to," Cirelli said. "It wasn't that good at all. I'm going to have to try and redo that one and get it right." Cirelli has also been keeping in contact with his Lightning teammates. Because they are all self-isolating, they have to communicate electronically and are playing video games together like Fortnite and Call of Duty: Warzone, though Cirelli he's not particularly good at either of them. Should the 2019-20 campaign resume, the Lightning will be tasked with attempting to redeem themselves after their disappointing first round exit last year. Apr 10 11:59 am (EST)
