2018 Fantasy Alarm Rankings with ProjectionsIf two heads are better than one, we’re doubling down here at Fantasy Alarm with four of our favorite NFL analysts working together to create the composite fantasy football rankings you see before you. Howard Bender, Brandon Marianne Lee, Dom Murtha and Brett Talley each submitted their individual rankings for every position, both standard and PPR, and here is where we currently stand. We don’t always agree with each other on certain players, but overall, we agreed that this was the best way to present the rankings to FA Nation.
Over the next few weeks, we will be doing a Rankings Summit Podcast where you will be privy to the full discussion as we also establish the Fantasy Alarm Top 100 Overall and the 2018 Rookie Rankings. You’ll hear the debates as we each make our cases for our favorite players and you’ll gather additional insights into how all of us think, both as a group and as individuals. We believe you’ll actually get more out of the whole process than just by looking at a list of names.
One of the things we all did agree upon was that we expect these rankings to be just the first wave in a very fluid situation. From OTA’s to mini-camp to the official start of training camp, there will be plenty of movement as position battles are won and lost, offensive schemes take shape and pecking orders for touches are established.
And for all you IDP folks out there, don’t worry. We haven’t forgotten you. As teams continue with their summer programs, our resident IDP expert Ivar Anderson will have a complete set of preseason rankings for the Defensive Linemen, Linebackers and Defensive Backs. Those too will be continuously updated throughout the summer and leading into Week 1 of the 2018 regular season.
Here’s to another successful fantasy football season
