Trey Burton caught 4-of-5 targets for 58 yards and one touchdown, rushing for one yard and another score in Indianapolis' Week 6 win over the Bengals.
Burton's first touchdown was a one-yard run from Wildcat formation. He's quietly seen 16 targets in three games since being activated from injured reserve, out-targeting Jack Doyle 16 to 6 in that span. Even if Mo Alie-Cox were to return in Week 8, it's clear the coaching staff prefers using Burton as the 1A option at tight end. Given his usage since returning, Burton will rank as a high-end TE2 with a confident floor when the team returns from its bye. Oct 18 4:20 pm (EST)
