Bills GM Brandon Beane expects TE Tommy Sweeney to play in 2021 after missing the 2020 season with myocarditis.
Myocarditis is a heart condition related to COVID-19. It kept Sweeney out for the remainder of the season after he was placed on the reserve/COVID list in October. Sweeney missed the opening weeks of 2020 while dealing with a foot injury. He played six games in 2019 after being drafted in the seventh round by Buffalo. Primarily a blocker, Sweeney will be fighting for a roster spot in a middling tight end room this summer. Apr 20 2:08 pm (EST)
