Anderson was promoted to the Cardinals' 53-man roster Friday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Starting QB Kyler Murray (hamstring) will be a game-day decision, prompting Arizona to add some depth at quarterback. The undrafted rookie spent training camp and the preseason with the Cardinals before being let go at roster cutdowns, and he's since been on the team's practice squad. Anderson would serve as the No. 2 quarterback behind Brett Hundley should Murray be unable to suit up this weekend. Dec 27 3:50 pm (EST)

Anderson completed nine of 17 passes for 118 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions in the Cardinals' 20-7 preseason loss to the Broncos on Thursday. He also rushed two times for 20 yards.

Broncos TE Jake Butt (knee) said he's back to 100 percent health.

Butt missed all of 2019 after undergoing left knee surgery. It was his fourth "major" knee operation since 2014. With Albert Okwuegbunam joining Noah Fant in the Broncos' tight end room, 25-year-old (in July) Butt's time with the Broncos has probably come and gone.

NFL Network's Mike Silver reports the 49ers and contract-year TE George Kittle are "far apart" in extension talks.

"I don't care about the tight end market, I'm being paid to do a George Kittle deal," were the words of Kittle's agent. Kittle's rep referenced Kittle's elite blocking and leadership in addition to his pass-catching prowess up the seam. Kittle, understandably, doesn't want to be lumped in with Austin Hooper's recent deal. He wants to blow it out of the water and likely will.

Packers OG Lane Taylor has agreed to a $3 million pay cut.

Taylor's base salary has been slashed from $4.55 million to $1.5 million. He can earn $1.5 million of it back through incentives. Taylor missed most of 2019 with a torn biceps and appears poised to lose his left guard job to Elgton Jenkins.

Scott (6'2/206) played four seasons at TCU, primarily lining up at safety, but he was well off the radar according to all media publications. As a senior, he made 44 tackles across 10 games with one interception and eight pass deflections. He'll need to show out on special teams to make the Packers' 53-man roster.

49ers OLB Dee Ford underwent "relatively minor" knee surgery this offseason.

Ford has been moving around for about one month now and is doing better this offseason compared to the 2019 offseason when he opted for injections rather than surgery, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Ford is expected to be ready for the upcoming season and should be better than he was a season ago when he had 6.5 sacks across 11 regular season games.

His hiring was mentioned in a long list of promotions that includes ex-Colts GM Ryan Grigson taking on the role of the team's Senior Football Advisor, former Eagles exec Andrew Healy as Cleveland's VP of Research & Strategy, and former 49ers Researcher Kwesi Adofo-Mensah as the organization's VP of Football Operations. Texans restructured RG Zach Fulton's contract.

Initially due $14 million with no guaranteed money over the next two seasons, Houston and Fulton simply agreed to rework his deal to include $5 million (all guaranteed) in 2020 and another $3 million in non-guaranteed cash in 2021. He, along with LT Laremy Tunsil, LG Max Scharping, C Nick Martin, and RT Tytus Howard, are considered key pieces of the Texans' O-line if only because all five are set to return and ensure continuity in front of Deshaun Watson despite the team's (and league's) tumultuous offseason. Fulton turns 29 in September.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports Ravens LB Matt Judon's franchise tender is worth $16.8 million.

It's a rare compromise between player and organization as Judon, who played both outside linebacker and as an EDGE defender at times last year, ultimately agreed to a tender that fell in between the going rates for LBs and DEs. Going on 28, Judon is fresh off an admirable campaign that resulted in 54 tackles and career-highs in sacks (9.5) and forced fumbles (4). The Ravens are still expected to let Judon walk next year after the team dangled him as trade bait during the draft.
