2023 Player Outlook
Cole Kmet technically finished as the TE8 but he was incredibly inconsistent week to week and even started the season with back-to-back zeros. That was largely because the Bears threw the fewest passes per game (22.8) since the 2004 Steelers (22.4) - the only teams in three decades to attempt less than 23 passes per game. The Bears will almost certainly throw more this season but Kmet will now have to contend with DJ Moore, Chase Claypool, and Darnell Mooney for those targets.
