Trae Young hopes to improve his conditioning during the Hawks' extended offseason.
Young said he wants to "play at 100 percent for a longer period of time on both ends ... [that is] going to be very important for me going into next year.” He had a Defensive Rating of 116.1 when he was on the court last season, worst among the Hawks' starters and seventh-worst in the NBA among players averaging 20+ minutes (four of the guys ahead of him are Wizards). It's encouraging to hear him mention defensive effort as a priority. Jun 11 1:15 pm (EST)
- Trae Young played in an "unsanctioned" game last week "inside a packed gym in Oklahoma unbeknownst to the Hawks' organization."
- The NBA's plans to re-start the season would reportedly leave out eight teams: the Hawks, Cavaliers, Pistons, Knicks, Bulls, Hornets, Warriors and Timberwolves.
- Trae Young said he's "not necessarily prepared" to play right now, but he "will be prepared" if and when the season resumes. All Trae Young News
