Terrence Ross played 32 minutes off the bench in Saturday’s loss to the Nets, posting a line of 23 points (9-of-17 FGs, 2-of-2 FTs), three rebounds, three assists, one blocked shot and three 3-pointers.
Ross got off to a slow start in Brooklyn, but he was able to get going during the second half. He’s been on the receiving end of even more attention from opposing defenses, which was a factor in his recent struggles. In the four games prior to Saturday, Ross scored a total of 26 points on 10-of-38 shooting from the field (1-of-13 3-pointers). He bounced back on Saturday, and we’ll see if he can build on this effort Monday when the Magic visit the Knicks. Given Orlando’s lack of consistent scorers outside of Nikola Vucevic, Ross is a must-play regardless of league format. Yesterday 8:46 pm (EST)
