Steve Kerr hinted that Damion Lee may see a lesser role with the Warriors next season.

"Everybody's role changes year to year based on how the season's going, who's healthy, what's going on roster wise," Kerr said. "Who knows who we draft, who we sign in free agency, who we we trade for. I have no idea what training camp is gonna look like [or] what our roster is gonna look like. So there are no guarantees. But I know that Damion is a big part of our identity and our culture." Lee flirted with top 100 value this past season, but Klay Thompson skipped the season and Stephen Curry only appeared in five games, so we wouldn't anticipate similar production next season when the team is healthy again.

Kendrick Nunn said that he's ready to step into a larger role with Goran Dragic (foot) doubtful for Game 2.

"I'm ready to play. I’ve been ready, been all season," said Nunn. "I have to step up, and simple as that. I'll be ready to play and compete and go out there and try to get a win." Dragic may be able to get out there, but he's likely going to be limited, to Nunn should be looking at a larger role regardless. He put up 18 points in just 20 minutes off the bench in Game 1, so he'll make for an attractive, low-budget DFS option.

Cody Martin has been getting some more reps at PG at the Hornets' minicamp.

This could hint that James Borrego wants Martin to be a larger part of the offense next season, with increased playmaking responsibilities. Martin also said that he's tweaked his jumper and he's getting more confident firing away when open, and if he could develop a reliable 3-ball, that would help him get more minutes. He showed some flashes across three starts his rookie year with averages of 10.3 points, 6.0 boards, 2.3 assists, 1.0 triple and 3.0 turnovers per contest, so we'll be watching how his role develops at training camp.

Jimmy Butler (sprained left ankle) said on Thursday that he will play in Friday's game vs. the Lakers.

Butler sprained his ankle during the first half of Wednesday's loss, but he remained in the game and did not depart until late. So it should come as no surprise that he fully anticipates being available for Game 2. That's huge news for the Heat, as both Bam Adebayo (neck) and Goran Dragic (foot) are listed as doubtful after leaving the series opener early due to their respective injuries.

Bam Adebayo (neck strain) is listed as doubtful for Friday's Game 2 vs. the Lakers.

Wednesday's issue appeared to be a bit more serious than the one that Adebayo had to deal with during the conference finals, as he had to check out of Game 1 and did not return. Should Adebayo not be able to play Friday night that would be a huge hit for the Heat to absorb, and his absence would open up minutes for Kelly Olynyk.

Goran Dragic (plantar tear, left foot) is listed as doubtful for Friday's game vs. the Lakers.

Dragic suffered the injury during the first half of Game 1, and while he was unable to return there were multiple reports that he was able to put some weight on the foot afterwards. Should he not be able to play that opens up minutes for Kendrick Nunn, who scored 18 points on 8-of-11 shooting in Wednesday's blowout defeat.

Nuggets GM Tim Connelly said recently that he hopes Paul Millsap will end his career in Denver.

"I don’t think we could’ve asked for anything more in terms of where we are," Connelly said of Millsap on Wednesday. "He taught us so much about winning and how to get to this point." The veteran forward is expected to take his time with the free agency process, and the future of Jerami Grant in Denver (he can opt out this summer) will also factor into Millsap's decision. He's one of two Nuggets rotation post players who will definitely be unrestricted free agents this offseason, with the other being Mason Plumlee. Millsap wasn't a major factor fantasy-wise this season, providing 13th-round value in both eight- and nine-category formats.

Michael Malone said on Thursday that he believes Jerami Grant, who can opt out of his contract this offseason, is a big part of the franchise's future.

While Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray received the majority of the headlines in Denver's run to the Western Conference Finals, Grant was also an important piece due to his versatility on both ends of the floor. Grant will likely command more than $9.4 million on the open market, so the question for the Nuggets will likely be how much are they willing to pay in order to keep him.
