Magic president Jeff Weltman said Mo Bamba has shown no signs of serious health issues after battling COVID-19.
Bamba had a grueling recovery from the virus after contracting it in June and wasn't able to get his conditioning back up inside the bubble. “The doctors have ruled out anything serious but it will take some time to clear his system," Weltman added. "That’ll probably be measured in months not weeks. That’s really something that is not going to be a long-term issue." Bamba is expected to have his workload monitored throughout the offseason but he should be all systems go for 2020-21. He has bulked up and we've seen promising flashes on both sides of the court, but it's hard to see him taking the leap in fantasy any time soon with Nikola Vucevic under contract through 2022-23.
