The Mavs' season ended on Sunday despite Luka Doncic (left ankle) putting up 38 points (15-of-28 FGs, 4-of-8 FTs), nine rebounds and nine assists.
Without Kristaps Porzingis (knee), the Mavs were simply overpowered by the Clippers at both ends of the court in Games 5 and 6. Doncic's buzzer-beater in overtime of Game 4 is a moment that will endure forever, and his first foray into the NBA playoffs was a delight. Mavs coach Rick Carlisle heaped praise on him after the loss, saying, "[Doncic] is one of the toughest players that I've ever seen in this league, and that goes back 35, 36 years." Fantasy GMs will likely need a top-five pick to acquire him next season, with good reason. Aug 30 6:03 pm (EST)
