Khem Birch scored 12 points with 12 rebounds, two assists and one steal on Friday, making 5-of-8 FGs and 2-of-2 FTs in 32 minutes of action.
Birch opened the game 5-of-5 from the field and continues to be a bright spot in an injury-plagued season for the Magic. Mo Bamba's inability to stay on the court has opened minutes for Birch, but he's playing well enough that coach Steve Clifford may lean toward bigger lineups just to keep him on the court. Despite career-high production in most categories, though, Birch is just a fringe option if you need a center-eligible player to boost your percentages (55.4% FGs, 90.0% FTs). Jan 15 10:40 pm (EST)
- Khem Birch hit 5-of-7 shots and 2-of-2 free throws for 12 points, 12 rebounds, one assist, a steal and a block in 23 minutes off the bench on Monday. This was easily his best game of the season and the lopsided score, as well as the absence of Evan Fournier contributed to his success. Birch isn't worth rostering in most fantasy leagues, but can at least be put on the radar after tonight's success.
- Magic head coach Steve Clifford said that the team could play more stretches with Khem Birch and Nikola Vucevic on the court together this season.
- Birch will come off the bench for Saturday's tilt with the Bucks. All Khem Birch News
