J.J. Redick said his goal is to play another four years in the league.
"I realized this year I want to keep playing as long as possible. My goal is to play four more years. Year 18. That’s my goal," said Redick. "I’ll play to 39. Then my offseason, I’ll turn 40 and then I can walk away at that point. That’s my goal. We’ll see. The body has to hold up. But we’ll see." Redick was effective in his age-35 season, churning out averages of 15.3 points, 3.0 triples and 2.0 assists per contest on 45.3% shooting from the field and 89.2% from the stripe, and he'll be in the final year of his current contract next season. He may be past his prime, but with a shooting stroke like his, it's not unreasonable to think he could play another four years. Sep 22 11:04 am (EST)
