Starting in place of the injured Devin Booker, Jae Crowder played 45 minutes and finished with 21 points (6-of-15 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), seven rebounds, three assists, one steal and six 3-pointers in a loss to the Nuggets.
Crowder began the season as a starter, but he was moved to the second unit in favor of Cameron Johnson just under a week ago. The Bossman was back in the starting lineup Saturday night, and he put forth one of his best stat lines of the season. Crowder’s 3-pointer with seven-tenths of a second remaining in the first overtime extended the game another five minutes, with the Nuggets ultimately pulling away. Crowder’s six 3-pointers matched a season-high for him, and over the last week he has provided 10th-round value in both 8- and 9-cat formats. His value would increase if Booker has to miss more time due to the hamstring issue, but it’s worth noting that Phoenix won’t play again until Wednesday. Jan 24 1:04 am (EST)
