According to Cleveland beat writer Chris Fedor, both the Cavaliers and Andre Drummond "have shown interest in an extension."
Drummond recently confirmed that he's going to pick up his $28.7M option for 2020-21 but he can't sign an extension until late October. A lot can change until then, and who knows if the Cavs change their tune -- Fedor notes that the Cavs may not want to use up most of their cap space so early into their rebuild and also points out the possibility of the Cavs selecting a big man like James Wiseman or Onyeka Okongwu.
