Starting in place of the injured Richaun Holmes, Alex Len played 15 minutes in Sunday’s loss to the Rockets and posted a line of four points (2-of-3 FGs), three rebounds and one blocked shot.
In fairness to Len this is not the best matchup for any traditional center, as Houston has gone “all-in” with the small ball lineup. That being said, Holmes’ hip injury provided him with an opportunity to show what he can do and the 7-foot-1 center struggled in his time on the floor. If Holmes can’t play in Tuesday’s game against the Pelicans, who have also been eliminated from playoff contention, that sets up to be a better matchup for Len. Aug 09 10:37 pm (EST)
