Tyler Clippard allowed one run over 1 2/3 innings on Tuesday in a relief appearance against the White Sox.

Clippard entered the contest in middle relief to bail out starter Randy Dobnak, stranding a pair of inherited runners, by recording the final two outs of the fifth inning. He came back out to handle the sixth inning and surrendered a solo homer to Tim Anderson. It was the first round-tripper he’s given up since August 11. The 35-year-old righty has emerged as an integral component of the Twins’ bullpen and will play a major role in their postseason push over the next two weeks. He’s cobbled together a remarkable renaissance campaign, recording a 2.14 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 21/3 K/BB ratio across 21 innings of work. He’s worthy of a fantasy roster spot to serve as a ratio stabilizer in deeper mixed leagues. Sep 15 11:51 pm (EST)
