2023 Player Outlook

2023 Recap: Triston McKenzie, one of the top AL pitchers of 2022 only made four starts last season and was sidelined with two separate injuries. He first had a right teres major strain that was found right before Opening Day and the second was a right elbow strain that placed him on the IL in mid-June.

2023 Outlook: He appears to be a full-go coming into Spring Training after appearing in three games at the end of last season where he struck out 16 in 16 innings. The news cannot get any better for the Guardians who hope that McKenzie can return to full 2022 form where he started 30 games and threw nearly 200 innings to the tune of a sparkling 2.96 earned run average.
