Ryan Mouncastle slugged a solo home run Sunday in the Orioles' 4-1 exhibition game victory over the Phillies.
Mountcastle got a hanging slider and roped it into the empty stands in left field, but you won't find the homer on any official box score because it came during an improvised 10th inning. The final score was really 5-1. Mountcastle is not expected to begin the 2020 season as a member of the Orioles' active roster, though he should make his MLB debut at some point this summer. The talented 23-year-old batted .312/.344/.527 with 25 home runs in 127 games last season at Triple-A Norfolk and was named the International League MVP. Jul 19 9:33 pm (EST)
