2023 Recap: Ginkel won nine games last year while giving fantasy managers a 27.6 percent strikeout rate, 2.48 ERA and four saves. His 9.1 percent walk rate marks the second straight season he's been below 10 percent, and he leaned on his slider more than in years past, which resulted in a .162 BAA and 40.4 percent whiff rate! The best version of Ginkel is the one who throws his slider more than 40 percent of the time, and the numbers corroborate that. In 2023, the two months where he used his slider the most were July and August, and between July 1st and August 31st he posted a 1.96 ERA, 30.8 percent strikeout rate, and 0.86 WHIP. 

2024 Outlook: If you play in a league that values SV+H, Ginkel is a fine reliever to target, as he figures to be the next man up for saves in Arizona. However, if your league doesn't value holds, Ginkel shouldn't be on your draft board.
