2023 Recap: Siri’s power and speed combo is intriguing but his terrible plate discipline (5.5 BB%, 35.7 K%) means that last season’s .222 batting average is a good indicator of his plate skills and unfortunately probably repeatable.
2024 Outlook: His above average defense might keep his bat in the lineup more than it should be, but the Rays will likely sit him against left-handed pitching (career .191 BAA). In a worst-case scenario if he slumps badly, he could eventually be relegated to being used as a late inning defensive replacement player.
