2023 Player Outlook

2023 Recap: Peterson gave fantasy managers some cheap power and speed, as he hit six home runs and stole 11 bases in 93 games with Oakland. However, his role diminished when he joined the Diamondbacks, and he slashed just .183/.276/.258 over 106 plate appearances.

2024 Outlook: The lefty has always handled right-handed pitching better than southpaws in his career, but with the current makeup of the Arizona Diamondbacks, he's a utility man off the bench, who can primarily fill in at third base or second base for Eugenio Suarez and Ketel Marte respectively. His path to regular at-bats is blocked, and while he can provide some cheap speed when playing in a regular capacity, he's nothing more than a potential midseason pickup in NL-only setups if he starts finding himself in the starting lineup more regularly.
