2023 Recap: After 11 saves in 2022, Jimenez only picked up one save in 23.1 innings last year as he as battled some injuries. Control is a huge problem here, 5.40 walks per nine innings and a 28.1% ground ball rate doesn't help his cause:
2024 Outlook: Jimenez is another reliever who could end up with some waiver wire attention searching for saves this year, but at what cost and quantity? His advanced metrics went from a 3.47 ERA all the way up to a 5.52 xFIP, and that gives some cause for concern. A 27-degree average launch angle from opponents could cause problems when away from Oakland.
