Los Angeles Kings at New York Rangers

The Kings come in as +115 road dogs but make nice value plays tonight since they are up against a weaker Rangers defense. There is no one on the Kings that is truly expensive, Anze Kopitar is at 6.1K on DraftKings while only 6.5K on FanDuel. Stacking up this team should be somewhat popular tonight since the Rangers come in with a 59 Corsi Against this season, which is sixth worst in the league. They are giving up a ton of shots and taking too many penalties, so going to the first power-play with Drew Doughty, Dustin Brown, and Jeff Carter could be a nice GPP option tonight. On a smaller slate like this, cash games might not be the best option since there are limited choices at each position, but with the Rangers allowing teams to have a nice floor of points, you could go to the Kings for cash games.

On the Rangers side of things, Mika Zibanejad has been super-hot as of late with 15 points in his last eight games, which should put him in play even at a higher price point. Kevin Hayes has three points in his last two games and is also up on the first power-play unit with Zibanejad, which could make a nice stack tonight. Some of the Rangers options aren’t that expensive overall, so you should have an easier time stacking them up tonight, but know there is a somewhat limited ceiling here since they have an implied total sitting at only 2.91 at home. Going to Henrik Lundqvist in net has been risky this season, but he sees plenty of shots and is up against a very weak Kings team, which has him as -135 favorite and potential to come away with the win.

Anaheim Ducks at Toronto Maple Leafs

The Maple Leafs come in as -275 home favorites, which makes them the largest favorites on the slate, along with an implied team total set at 3.82, which is highest on the slate. This is where the offense should be coming from tonight, despite the fact the Maple Leafs have looked very average over their last 10 games. The Ducks are one of the worst teams in the league and have lost 15 of their last 17 games and come in with the third worst Corsi Against this season and the second worst in the number of high danger scoring chances allowed.

This game is all about the Maple Leafs and that’s it. You would only be going to the Ducks tonight simply for the fact you are trying to be different in tournaments. Auston Matthews has a three-game goal streak going right now, so you should be looking at him as a key player tonight. John Tavares has seen a bit of a downturn in production, so look for him as a GPP option tonight in a stack. Mitch Marner always is a candidate for a multi-point game but can get expensive when you are looking to stack up the first power-play unit. If you have the salary, add Morgan Rielly to that stack and you should be looking at plenty of upside. Patrick Marleau, William Nylander, Andreas Johnsson, and Jake Muzzin are on the second power-play unit which is also viable tonight.

Vancouver Canucks at Philadelphia Flyers

The Flyers have won seven games in a row and come in as a -155 favorites against the Canucks, who are also looking good as of late and currently holding down a playoff spot. Carter Hart has won six starts in a row and will be in net tonight. The Flyers come in with a 49 Corsi Against over the past month and the Canucks have a 51 Corsi Against over the past month, which is horrible on both sides. This means with both teams giving up so many shots, we could be in for a very fast-paced game, which is ideal for DFS. We should be seeing plenty of shots on both sides and hopefully, plenty of scoring.

The Flyers top power-play unit is reasonably priced with Claude Giroux, James van Riemsdyk, Wayne Simmonds, Shayne Gostisbehere, and Jakub Voracek. Very stackable tonight with their 3.30 implied team total and their favorable matchup.

The Canucks have a solid first power-play unit but are kinda weak after that, so I’d look to stay with BO Horvat, Brock Boeser, Alexander Edler, and Elias Pettersson, which should bring you the most goal equity. If you can go to this game as a game stack since both teams are giving up a ton of shots, which should present the upside in GPPs.

Arizona Coyotes at Dallas Stars

This game looks to have the lowest offensive equity on this slate and would be looking to go to this game in limited fashion or only taking one stack. The Stars are the clear better team here, but the problem is that they are only scoring 1.82 goals per game over the past month. That’s truly weak and when you are paying up for Tyler Seguin, Jamie Benn and John Klingberg, you need more points. I like the idea of going to just Seguin as a one-off in GPPs since he is taking about four shots per game, which should allow him to reach value on his own. It also doesn’t help this game overall that both defenses have looked solid in their recent outings, which limits the points for the opposing team. Two weak offenses, two solid defenses means limited fantasy options at best.
