Introducing the Fantasy Alarm NHL Playoffs contest powered by PoolExperts, a fun way to play fantasy hockey. We have a new partnership with them for this year’s NHL Playoffs. You are able to choose from groups of players and have your roster set for the entire playoffs, think of it as a type of “best ball” format that many of you may use in fantasy football. You will lock in your players before the start of the playoffs, and they will rack up points each game. As we move closer to the roster lock, I’ll talk a bit about some strategy, and who you should be focusing in on.

Scoring works the same as any other fantasy league, you get a point for goals or an assists, while the goalies gets two points for a win and one points for an overtime loss. There are 16 player spots, where you pick 10 forwards, four defenders, and two goalies. In each round of picks, the players are roughly grouped into tiers, so you will see Crosby, Ovechkin, and Kucherov all in the same spot, but only allowed to choose one.

Best of all, if you are playing in the FantasyAlarm pool, you will have a chance to win plenty of prizes. There is a $250 top prize overall, FREE Playbook Pro for a year, and swag to 10 different participants. There will also be new contests once each new round of the playoffs start with the round 2 winner getting $100, and the round 3 winner get $100, so plenty of different chances to win.

This will give you a chance to play against myself, along with other writers over here at FantasyAlarm. We’ve had a great year of NHL content, and no reason to slow things down just because the regular season is over.
