Antonio Brown (knee) remained sidelined for Thursday's practice.

Brown wasn't available for the portion open to media — his second consecutive 'DNP' to start the week. His knee injury is reportedly "not serious," but even one limited session would be an encouraging development before Tampa Bay kicks off against the Packers Sunday. Friday's practice will be telling.

Steelers hosted ex-Washington Football Team QB Dwayne Haskins Thursday.

Steelers are in need of a backup quarterback with only Mason Rodolph under contract behind Ben Roethlisberger in 2021, but Haskins ain't it. Only one year removed from coming off the board as Washington's No. 15 overall pick, Haskins showed zero signs of development or maturity for a revamped organization last year, finally getting benched and waived (with no team claiming him) altogether ahead of the regular season finale. Despite his surrounding interest, the 23-year-old isn't expected to sign anywhere until the new league year.

T. Williams - DB

Packers are "expected to" sign CB Tramon Williams, formerly of the Ravens.

Williams had a workout this week and should be signed to the 53-man roster soon. A long-time Packer, Williams played six games for the Ravens in 2020. He'd be a depth option and veteran spark plug only for Green Bay this late into the season. Williams is 37 years old.

A. Dillon - RB

AJ Dillon (quad) was limited on Wednesday.

Dillon was injured in the fourth quarter of the Divisional Round against the Rams, but he appears to be on track to play with Wednesday's limited session. The Packers used Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams relatively equally last week, while Dillon handled six carries as a distant third option. If the Bucs game is close, Dillon may only play a few offensive snaps.

Ronald Jones said he's "feeling better than last week."

Jones played through a quad injury against the Saints but managed to dodge any setbacks. He was limited in practice on Wednesday and could threaten Leonard Fournette's role as the lead back on Sunday now that he's feeling better. Jones has primarily been limited to early downs this season, but coach Bruce Arians has been willing to ride the hot hand at times, too. Projecting this backfield is a challenge week-to-week. The injuries have only added to that.

Antonio Brown (knee) did not practice on Wednesday.

Brown needed an MRI on Monday but reportedly dodged a major injury. Obviously it's possible that the injury can be both non-serious and enough to sideline him for the NFC Championship Game. His practice reports on Thursday and Friday will tell the story. At this point, Brown's availability is up in the air. Scotty Miller would enter into three-receiver sets if Brown is ruled out.

Saints signed LB Andrew Dowell, DT Ryan Glasgow, TE Garrett Griffin, DB Grant Haley, LB Chase Hansen, WR Lil’Jordan Humphrey, RB Tony Jones, WR Jake Lampman, LB Wynton McManis, DT Christian Ringo, QB Trevor Siemian, T Calvin Throckmorton, DE Marcus Willoughby, and TE Ethan Wolf to a futures/reserve contract.

Humphrey was in the rotation late in the season when Michael Thomas was on injured reserve, but he didn't do much with the opportunity. He had three receptions all year. The Saints offense will look drastically different without Drew Brees in 2021. It seems as if Marquez Callaway is the best no-name dart throw among the New Orleans' receivers.

P. Mahomes - QB

Patrick Mahomes (concussion) was limited in practice Wednesday.

The Chiefs initially called him a full participant and coach Andy Reid even said Mahomes "took all the reps", but a player can't be listed as a full participant while in this stage of the NFL concussion protocol and this was more of a walkthrough than actual practice. It's all semantics really. Ultimately, Mahomes is on track to start the AFC Championship but could need until Friday or Saturday to be officially cleared. In addition to his concussion (or neck injury), Mahomes is dealing with a toe injury that limited his dual-threat abilities last weekend.
