It is a testament to Emma Meesseman how much her status would drastically change Friday’s WNBA DFS slate. I had her in this playbook before her right shoulder sprain was reported, and while she would be risky, she is still playable if she can go. If she cannot go, Tianna Hawkins and Myisha Hines-Allen would be great plays. I would look to potentially get both in my lineups, and I think you almost have to have at least one of them. Washington plays the second game Friday, so be sure to keep that in mind when setting your lineup, and check for news before that game tips off.
As always, the lineups below are examples of lineups you can make using the players in the Playbook and are not for plug and play.

Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG | FD $ | FD FPPG
Stella Johnson | WAS | DAL | 6200 | 9.61 | 4500 | 9.40
Johnson has averaged 25.5 minutes and 29.4 fantasy points in two games since joining the Mystics. She is safer if Kiara Leslie is out, and I'll probably play Leslie if she starts ahead of Johnson.
Marina Mabrey | DAL | WAS | 7400 | 14.75 | 5000 | 12.73
Mabrey has played at least 27 minutes and scored at least 28 fantasy points in all three games Satou Sabally has missed.
Allisha Gray | DAL | WAS | 8300 | 21.71 | 6800 | 21.21
Gray is averaging 32.1 fantasy points in three games with Satou Sabally out. I think her ceiling is higher than Marina Mabrey's, though her price is obviously higher as well.
Courtney Williams | ATL | LA | 9800 | 27.38 | 6200 | 25.92
Williams is averaging 34.1 minutes and 34.9 fantasy points in her last four games. She has been a bit up-and-down in those games, but she is a strong play in all formats.
Diana Taurasi | PHO | MIN | 9600 | 34.92 | 7200 | 34.20
Taurasi has scored at least 32 fantasy points in seven straight games, averaging 38.8 fppg in that span.
Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG | FD $ | FD FPPG
Arike Ogunbowale | DAL | WAS | 10200 | 32.5 | 7400 | 32.25
She is averaging 40.7 fppg with Satou Sabally out, even after shooting 27.3 percent from the field Wednesday against Minnesota. |
Forwards | |||||||
Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG | FD $ | FD FPPG
Brittney Griner | PHO | MIN | 10900 | 34.75 | 8000 | 35.17
Griner should dominate Minnesota inside without Sylvia Fowles. Of course, she should have dominated the Sparks and Sky as well, and that didn't happen. I have a hard time trusting her for cash, but I suspect she will top 50 fantasy points for the third time in six games.
Myisha Hines-Allen | WAS | DAL | 8900 | 29.46 | 6500 | 28.44
I had Emma Meesseman in this spot before the Mystics listed her has questionable with a right shouulder sprain. If Meesseman starts, she is a GPP play, but it will be difficult to trust her for cash lineups. If Meesseman is out, Hines-Allen is a must-play, especially for cash. Hines-Allen leads all Mystics forwards with 1.00 fantasy points per minute, and while her minutes will certainly increase if Meesseman is out, I suspect her per-minute production would increase as well.
Bella Alarie | DAL | WAS | 5000 | 11.65 | 4900 | 13.39
Alarie played 22 minutes Wednesday, and she could easily top that if Katie Lou Samuelson is out again. Alarie is averaging 0.89 fantasy points per minute.
Tianna Hawkins | WAS | DAL | 7800 | 17.25 | 4800 | 16.98
I could talk myself into Hawkins even if Emma Meesseman plays, but Hawkins is a fantastic play if Meesseman is out. Hawkins has been up-and-down this season in part because she has had to play with two other forwards quite a bit. If Meesseman is out and Hawkins starts next to Myisha Hines-Allen, I think we could see a return of the player who scored 1.06 fantasy points per minute last season.
Alaina Coates | WAS | DAL | 3700 | 5.73 | 3000 | 5.74
If Emma Meesseman cannot go, Coates would be the only backup forward on the roster. She hasn't been great this season, but I don't see why she couldn't play 15+ minutes and score 15+ fantasy points.
Player | Team | Opp. | DK $ | DK FPPG | FD $ | FD FPPG
Mikiah Harrigan | MIN | PHO | 4600 | 9.7 | 3500 | 10.05
Harrigan played a season-high 21 minutes Wednedsay, finishing with 29 fantasy points. It's hard to count on that again, but there is certainly a chance for a repeat. Minnesota could use her size in the frontcourt with Sylvia Fowles out.
Napheesa Collier | MIN | PHO | 10700 | 34.5 | 7800 | 33.70
Her 29 fantasy points against Dallas Wednesday were a little disappointing, but she is still averaging 44.6 fantasy points over her last three games. Her ceiling is just as high as Brittney Griner's but I think her floor is higher.
Kayla Thornton | DAL | WAS | 7100 | 15.54 | 4800 | 15.29
I don't know if I'll ever get Thornton right, but she's worth a shot in a GPP if she can repeat her double-double from Wednesday. Her playing time will be that much safer if Katie Lou Samuelson is out, and she is an alternative to Tianna Hawkins if Emma Meesseman plays. |
