Player | FanDuel | DraftKings | Comments |
Sylvia Fowles, F, MIN | $8,600 | $11,700 | Fowles was much, much better at home last season, and even though Stefanie Dolson plays her tough, she averaged 41.9 fantasy points against Chicago last season. Her usage will almost certainly increase with Maya Moore out for the season. |
Jonquel Jones, F, CON | $7,700 | $9,900 | Jones averaged 15.4 points, 11.9 rebounds and 1.4 blocks two seasons ago, and I expect her to at least match those numbers now that Chiney Ogwumike is gone. |
Alyssa Thomas, F, CON | $7,300 | $8,600 | Thomas may not benefit from the Chiney Ogwumike trade quite as much as Jonquel Jones, but it almost certainly won't hurt. Thomas was Connecticut's best player early in the season before she got hurt, and while Jones is safer, Thomas's ceiling is just as high. |
Kristi Toliver, G, WAS | $6,700 | $9,200 | It's difficult to ever trust Kristi Toliver for cash because if she has a cold night from outside, her floor could be awfully low. That being said, I love her ceiling with Elena Delle Donne out, and her price is solid on FanDuel. |
Ariel Atkins, G, CON | $6,800 | $6,600 | Atkins averaged 27.8 fppg in her last six games last season. If she does that Saturday she will be a pretty decent value, and she could easily exceed it with Elena Delle Donne out. |
Danielle Robinson, G, MIN | $5,600 | $3,600 | Robinson is super duper cheap on DraftKings. She should start and play even heavier minutes with Seimone Augustus out. |
Odyssey Sims, G, MIN | $5,300 | $5,100 | As I mentioned on today's podcast, Sims is one of my favorite plays of the entire slate. |
Emma Meesseman, F, WAS | $5,000 | $4,400 | I thought she was cheap on FanDuel, and then I saw her price on DraftKings. She's a must-play for cash, and if you're going to fade her, you do it at your own peril. Meesseman averaged 14.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.5 blocks in 2017 (she sat out last season). She could easily top those numbers with Elena Delle Donne ruled out. |
Gabby Williams, F, CHI | $5,000 | $5,700 | Like Diamond DeShields, I think Gabby Williams has a chance to break out after a solid rookie season. I probably won't play her for cash unless she gets the start, but I like her upside, even if she comes off the bench. |
Damiris Dantas, F, MIN | $4,800 | $4,700 | Dantas should start at power forward, and she could play increased minutes if Karima Christmas-Kelly is out. She is safe for cash and has double-double upside, but she'll never be a focal point of the offense. |
Jewell Loyd, G, SEA | | $9,300 | Loyd has a chance to lead the league in Usage with all the injuries Seattle has had. She might be the best guard in the WNBA, and her ceiling is as high as anyones. |
Crystal Langhorne, F, SEA | | $4,000 | She will presumably start at center and play heavy minutes with Alysha Clark out. |
Shavonte Zellous, G, SEA | | $5,900 | I'll feel better about playing her if she starts, but she's a GPP play regardless. Seattle probably needs her to be a secondary playmaker next to Jewell Loyd, and Zellous has proven in the past she is capable of filling that role. |
Briann January, G, PHO | | $6,400 | January has the best chance outside of Dewanna Bonner to create off the dribble for herself and others. I'm not convinced her ceiling is super high, but I think her floor is. |
Natasha Howard, F, SEA | | $10,200 | Her usage was inconsistent last season, but she'll almost certainly have to take 10+ shots per game with Breanna Stewart and Sue Bird out. Howard may not be an ideal fit next to Crystal Langhorne, but that shouldn't stop her from being a double-double machine. |
