I think I’ve gotten spoiled by playing larger WNBA slates. Going back to a three-game slate Saturday felt especially difficult. The only good news, if you want to call it that, is that we turn around with another three-game slate Sunday, so we should get used to it pretty quickly. Saturday’s slate features the two teams who have allowed the most points this season (Chicago and Las Vegas) as well as the two teams who have allowed the fewest (Minnesota and Los Angeles). This slate has few players who I consider really good values, so when I had to make a tough decision between similar players, I almost always went towards the players facing the Sky and Aces.

Aside from the disparity in matchups, Saturday’s other big trend is the disparity between the guard and forward positions. Forward is extremely top heavy, even though I don’t necessarily love any of the forwards for cash games. That being said, good luck talking yourself into anyone cheaper than Rebekkah Brunson, and I even think she is overpriced. I basically paid up at forward across the board, with one notable exception.

The good news as far as paying for forwards goes, is that there are a ton of reasonably priced guards who I am perfectly happy playing. I have more shares of Moriah Jefferson than even I would like, but otherwise, it is relatively easy to save money at guard to spend on your forwards. Let’s take a look at the specific players I’m targeting Saturday.

Player FanDuel Price  DraftKings Price Comments
Sylvia Fowles, F, MIN $    8,600 $     13,000Sylvia Fowles has been the picture of consistency for most of her career, including this season, but the last eight days have been anything but consistent, as she has scored 41.75, 33.75, 20.5 and 49.75 fantasy points on DraftKings. That being said, the Sky have allowed the second most points and steals and the second most blocks and rebounds in the WNBA this season.
A'ja Wilson, F, LAV $    8,400 $     12,800Wilson remains the ultimate GPP play, with 40+ fantasy points in six of her last 10 games. Her ceiling is as high as anyones.
Maya Moore, F, MIN $    8,200 $     11,700Moore is 5-25 combined over her last two games, but she is shooting 41.9 percent on the season.
Chiney Ogwumike, F, CON $    7,200 $        9,600Ogwumike struggled in her last game, shooting 4-14 and playing just 22 minutes before fouling out. Ogwumike should bounce back against an Aces team allowing the second most fantasy points to opposing forwards this season.
LaToya Sanders, F, WAS $    5,700 $        7,700LaToya Sanders was shut down by Brittney Griner a week ago, but she rebounded with 14 points and seven rebounds in 24 minutes Thursday. That is the kind of production I think we can expect going forward.
Kristi Toliver, G, WAS $    5,600 $        8,200Kristi Toliver is averaging 11.3 field goal attempts over her last three games, but she is shooting 29.4 percent over that span. Another huge offensive game is coming sooner or later.
Jasmine Thomas, G, CON $    5,400 $        7,600I have been wrong about Jasmine Thomas pretty consistently over the last month, but with Alyssa Thomas out and Courtney Williams's status up in the air, there are very few options if you want to take advantage of the Aces defense.
Alex Bentley, G, CON $    5,400 $        6,600Bentley has played a few more minutes per game with Courtney Williams out, but her fantasy production was actually slightly better before Williams left. Either way, Bentley has scored at least 18.0 fantasy points in each of her last seven games, so she should be pretty safe.
Tamera Young, G, LV  $    5,200 $        6,300Young has played at least 31 minutes and taken exactly 13 shots in each of her last two games. The Aces would be smart to keep giving her more minutes and shots, but she has been a strong cash play even when only playing 25ish minutes per game. Young had 23 points and four rebounds in 28 minutes against Connecticut earlier this season.
Ariel Atkins, G, WAS $    4,700 $        6,000Atkins has played 28 minutes in each of her last two games, despite missing two games with a concussion in between. Atkins is averaging 11.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists over those two games. She should be a solid cash play so long as she keeps playing heavy minutes.
Seimone Augustus, G, MIN $    4,400 $        5,400Augustus has been inconsistent of late, but of the teams going Saturday, only the Aces have allowed more fantasy points to opposing guards than the Sky. I trust Augustus to take advantage of the situation more than most of her teammates.
Moriah Jefferson, G, LV $    3,500 $        3,500Jefferson played 15 minutes Thursday after playing 11 in her season debut Sunday. I hope she sees another increase in playing time Saturday, and it is only a matter of time before she starts racking up fantasy points.
Morgan Tuck, F, CON $    3,400 $        4,100I have to admit, I am a bit desperate for cheaper forwards with upside, and it was either Tuck or Alaina Coates. Tuck has played at least 20 minutes in three of her last five games, and she had eight points and eight rebounds her last time out despite shooting 4-11. If Jonquel Jones struggles or the Sun get a huge lead early, Tuck could play 20+ minutes again.
