Monday’s slate was mostly devoid of elite lineups, while today’s slate feels like nothing but top lineups. As you might expect, you have to pay up if you want a top offense in a good situation, and since it is pretty much inevitable in Wednesday’s slate, my top three stacks will all cost you quite a bit. That being said, there is an intriguing cheap option if you are so inclined. As always, these stacks are listed in order of preference.

Houston Astros vs. Washington Nationals (Edwin Jackson, R)

George Springer, Jose Altuve, Josh Reddick, Yulieski Gurriel, Marwin Gonzalez, Alex Bregman

Raise your hand if you think Edwin Jackson can keep his streak of decent results going. Jackson has a 3.43 ERA, 5.30 FIP and 5.04 xFIP. His 76.0 percent left on base percentage will almost certainly come down, and when it does, you will wish you had stacked against him. Even if you think Jackson is actually better than he has shown in recent years, he is facing a Houston team that is slugging .496 against right-handed pitchers this season.

Arizona Diamondbacks @ New York Mets (Chris Flexen, R)

Paul Goldschmidt, Jake Lamb, J.D. Martinez, A.J. Pollock, David Peralta, Ketel Marte, Daniel Descalso

The Diamondbacks are not cheap, but they do have a .784 OPS against right-handed pitchers this season. Chris Flexen has a 6.55 ERA and 2.00 WHIP, and those numbers don’t even tell the full story of how bad he has been. Flexen has walked at least three batters in four of his five starts, and he has more walks than strikeouts this season. Flexen has a 7.21 FIP and 6.29 xFIP, and he has allowed at least two earned runs in every start. Of the players in the proposed stack above, only A.J. Pollock and Ketel Marte have an OPS below .840 against right-handed pitchers.

Chicago Cubs @ Cincinnati Reds (Asher Wojciechowski, R)

Anthony Rizzo, Ian Happ, Alex Avila, Jon Jay, Javier Baez, Kyle Schwarber, Ben Zobrist, Kris Bryant

The Cubs bats are finally starting to wake up, as they have a .380 wOBA over the last week. The Cubs have scored six or more runs in seven of their last nine games, and they have at least 10 runs in three of their last eight. The Cubs have six players batting .300 or better over the last week, and you could make an argument for including just about any Cub in a stack depending on how the lineup shakes out. For his part, Asher Wojciechowski has allowed a .388 wOBA against left-handed batters and a .358 wOBA against right-handed batters this season.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. Miami Marlins (Justin Nicolino, L)

Tommy Joseph, Nick Williams, Maikel Franco, Rhys Hoskins, Cesar Hernandez, Freddy Galvis, Jorge Alfaro

This is my one value stack of the slate, and I especially like the value on DraftKings. Justin Nicolino has a 5.35 FIP and 5.28 xFIP on the season, and he is going to blow up sooner or later unless he lowers his 1.73 WHIP quite a bit. Nick Williams and Rhys Hoskins look legit in the middle of the Philadelphia lineup. Williams has an .840 OPS on the season while Hoskins sits at 1.026. If you surround them with a couple cheap upside plays, you have the makings of a stack that could provide a nice alternative to the more expensive and likely more popular stacks.
